There's nothing to really say, so let's get into the chapter.
After discussing the next phase of their plan with Baron Strucker, Viper felt a surge of excitement about visiting the prisoner-Aunt May, the Spiders' beloved aunt. She made her way through the dimly lit corridors of the HYDRA base, her heels clicking against the cold concrete floor. As she approached the cell, she noticed two guards standing watch, their expressions impassive.
"Open the cell," Viper commanded, her tone brooking no argument. The guards complied without hesitation, sliding the heavy door open. Once inside, she turned to them. "Leave us."
The guards exchanged glances but followed her orders, stepping back and closing the door behind them. Viper turned her attention to Aunt May, who was huddled in the corner of the dimly lit cell. The older woman looked frail yet determined, her eyes wide with fear and defiance.
Viper couldn't help but smile at the sight of Aunt May's false bravado. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" she purred, stepping closer. As she approached, Aunt May instinctively backed away, her fear palpable.
"Who are you?" Aunt May demanded, trying to sound strong despite the tremor in her voice. "What do you want with me? Where am I?"
Before she could ask any more questions, Viper struck her hard across the face, relishing the moment. "Silence!" she hissed, her eyes gleaming with malice. The blow sent Aunt May reeling, Viper relished the moment, her desire to kill the woman simmering just beneath the surface, but she restrained herself. Aunt May was a vital piece in their scheme to recapture the Spiders. but she did enjoy watching as the woman who struggled to regain her composure.
Viper crouched down, bringing herself eye-to-eye with Aunt May. "Let's have a little chat, shall we?" she said, her voice dripping with mock sweetness. "Tell me, do you know what happened to your sister and husband? And what about their children?"
Aunt May hesitated, her breaths coming in quick, shallow gasps. "They... they all died in a plane crash," she replied, her voice wavering.
Viper's smile widened, a cruel glint in her eyes. "You're half right, and half wrong." She leaned in closer, her voice low and conspiratorial. "Your sister and her husband are dead, yes. But their children? They lived and became part of something incredible."
Aunt May paused haven not of her sister Mary in years after her death and the death of Richard, and their kids, her expression shifted from confusion to horror as Viper continued, "They became HYDRA's greatest achievement. The Spiders. Trained to be ruthless assassins, just like you see in the movies. They were molded into weapons, and now they're out there, hiding from us."
Viper continued, weaving a twisted narrative of the Spiders' journey from innocent children to fearsome assassins. "Those kids you saw fighting? They're your sister's children, Aunt May. They're Mary's kids-your nieces and nephews. Why do you think they kept calling you "Aunt" ?"
Viper reveled in the shock that washed over Aunt May's face. "You see, your family was never truly gone. They were just transformed. And now, they're caught in a web of their own making-one that I intend to tighten."
"Tell me, do you think those children you once knew are still the same as before?" she taunted, her voice laced with cruelty. "They are HYDRA now."Aunt May's eyes filled with tears as the realization sank in feeling a mix of emotions wash over her. Joy that her family had survived, but sorrow for what they had become-tools of HYDRA. "No... it can't be... They're not like you!" she protested, her voice shaking.
