They looked around the bus.
"He's not usually late." Tyler defended.
Ashlyn raised an eyebrow and peered around. "But traffic lights aren't long enough to keep him waiting even after the bus got here."
They all looked at each other.
"What if," Taylor began, "He didn't see us at the bus stop and thought we left him..?"
The group went silent and looked down. Ash got out her phone and went to her messages app, the entire group crowding around her and looking at the phone.
She texted Logan and waited for a response.
Lolo
7:56 AM
You: Where are you
Lolo: school
You: Already?
Lolo: mhm
You: oh

They all got to school and immediately ran to Logan and sobbed apologies, except Tyler of course. He just murmured an apology and looked down at his feet.
