You were soundly asleep when the familiar chime of your ringtone shattered your bliss. You sat up in bed with a groan before slapping your bedside table to try to locate your phone in the dark. Once you grabbed it, you pressed speaker and spat, "It's 1 o'clock in the morning, to say I'm grumpy is an understatement. What do you want."

To your dreary surprise, Scott spoke, "Look, (Y/N), I know it's early, but Isaac is missing. He must have run away from the house in one of his night terrors. Think you can calm him down?" You sighed, "Mmhmm, give me 20."

In 30 minutes, you arrived at Scott's house. He opened the door and smirked, "I thought you said 20." You shoved him, which didn't do a lot since you were much smaller than the True Alpha, "Shut up. You can track him, right? Where is he?" Scott tilted his head slightly and closed his eyes, "He's... actually at your house." Your eyes flew open wide, "Seriously?! I had to come over her for nothing? Ugh, Scott you're mean."

He stifled a laugh, "I thought you needed to wake up more before dealing with him." You sighed, "Next time, call my brother and make him wake me up." Scott snorted, "Have you SEEN Stiles in the morning? He's a lot like you are now." You glared at him before slamming the door behind you and driving home.

You cautiously snuck through the house, checking all the rooms before padding upstairs. You peaked into Stiles's room, but he was sprawled across his bed and snoring while having forgotten to change out of his school clothes.

You smiled, closed the door, and walked into your room. You were just about to give up and call it a night, but something made you freeze. You had heard a sniffle. You glanced around your room, ready to take action if Isaac was wolfed out, but didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Then, you heard whimper from under your bed.

You dropped your defenses and bent down to lift up the sheet covering the open space between your floor and your bed frame. Sure enough, Isaac was curled up near the back, and looked up with scared golden puppy eyes that you could never resist.

You reached out a hand, "Hey, it's ok. I'm here. Come on out, bud." He cautiously glanced at your hand before taking it in his and letting you lead him out from his little hiding spot. You quickly went into your closet and threw on some pjs before turning out the lights and dropping onto your bed.

Isaac stood in the middle of the room, eyes cast down and still looking scared. You waved him over, "C'mon, wolfie, you can sleep in my bed tonight." He glanced up and met your gaze, "He won't get me here, will he? He... Locked me in a freezer at Scott's house." You stood up and walked over to him, placing both hands on his face, "You're father won't get you here, Isaac. It was a nightmare. I'll make sure nothing happens, ok?" He cracked a small trusting smile, "Ok."

And that's the reason why Stiles nearly had a hissy fit in the morning when he saw you with a protective arm around your boyfriend, sleeping soundly once again.
