For all of my chemistry nerds

"Ok, so first, I need you to tell me where to find gallium on the periodic table."

You were sprawled out on a bed next to Scott as he leaned over a paper copy of the periodic table. Being the Alpha of a werewolf pack was hard and tiresome, so he barely had time to take care of the necessities before he fell asleep. Of course he wasn't keeping up on his studies. This was why he asked you to tutor him.

You were like Stiles. You knew ALL about the supernatural world, but you just weren't a member. You often fantasized of being a powerful werewolf, or even just a sneaky vampire, but those were false hopes. Nevertheless, the pack needed a dose of normalcy once in a while.

Scott placed his finger on the paper,

"It's right there. How is this going to help me?"

You sighed as you handed him a pink highlighter,

"You need to memorize the periodic table before next week because we have a test. She gives you a blank table and expects you to fill it all in."

Scott's nose crinkled as he swiped the pink ink onto the paper,

"That doesn't sound fair. We're high school students!! Am I going to need this when I grow up?"

You shrugged,

"It may help you to, I don't know, mix new weapons for your little supernatural brawls."

He dropped the highlighter and turned to face you,

"Ya know what, (Y/N)? I think I need a break."

His gaze flickered to your lips multiple times as he moved a bit closer. You slightly backed away, unsure of his motive,

"S-Scott? I think you need to find helium next."

He smirked as he leaned in closer still,

"I think..."

He was interrupted by a loud crash as the door to his room slammed open. Isaac strode inside with his hands in his pockets, whistling leisurely. He froze in his tracks when he saw the scene in front of him.

You had forgotten, even for a moment, that Scott was housing Isaac for a few months. What made it even worse was the friendship you had with him. The two of you were close, but there was always an underlying tension that somehow hinted to something more. You couldn't even imagine how he felt then.

Except, you could. You surveyed what Isaac was seeing. You had a confused look on your face as you leaned backwards, and Scott was leaned forward with his hand on your leg. Isaac smirked as he leaned against the wall,

"Well, well, well, what do we have here? Another failed attempt at charming a girl, Scott?"

Your eyes widened as you scooted away from Scott so fervently that you fell off the bed. After quickly jumping back up, you noticed that neither of the boys were paying any attention to you. They were too busy staring at each other.

Scott awkwardly cleared his throat,

"Um, no, Isaac...we were, uh, studying um chemicals and stuff."

Isaac laughed deeply and held out his hands in an almost welcome gesture,

"Ok, then, let me give you a quick chemistry puzzle. It's not like I'm the best in my class or anything. What's Barium + Carbon + Potassium + Oxygen + 2 Fluorines?"

Scott stared blankly at Isaac while you narrowed your eyes and tilted your head. Since you didn't  understand his intention, you took out your calculator.
