Happy New Years, break your resolutions already, etc.

Isaac had messed up...big time.

You sat in the living room while wearing a fluffy white robe. Your mom walked in to hand you a cup of hot chocolate as you brought your knees up to your chest and kept your eyes glued on The Maze Runner. Your mother sighed as she sat next to you on the couch,

"Oh, I knew that there would be trouble when I let Isaac move in with us. Now you know how I feel whenever Scott goes out to do his little Alpha werewolf business."

You didn't reply as you watched Dylan O'Brien squeeze through an impossibly small space to get to Minho in the maze. You were truly worried about your brother and your boyfriend. They had told you that they were going to a party at Derek's loft...but you hadn't been invited to attend. You assumed that dangerous things would be happening, so you didn't question it as they left the house.

That was a good 5 hours ago.

Isaac had never mentioned that he was going to a a high school glow party at Derek's loft. You had seen pictures of  all it over social media, and you easily spotted Scott and Isaac in the background of one. You decided not to share your annoyance with your mom, because she would have scolded Scott. As much as you wanted to see Melissa tear up your brother, you knew that Scott had a lot more to worry about.

Your phone screen lit up with a message from Stiles, but you also noticed the time. It was 1:20 AM. You rolled your eyes and read the text.

"(Y/N), I am not a snitch. I mean, I'm not usually one, but this is an exception! I don't know how you're going to react to this, so I'm really sorry. Don't shoot the messenger."

You smiled a bit at his comment before sending back a picture of Thomas as he ran from Grievers, "Why does this remind me of you running from Derek and practically any other dangerous thing in Beacon Hills?"

"Haha very funny. I have much better hair than that sallow-faced shuck. Now, hold on."

You waited anxiously as you watched the three little dots in the corner of the screen. You were worried as to why Stiles was the one texting you, and that Isaac hadn't even bothered to contact you. Finally, a picture popped onto your screen.

Melissa sighed, "Who do you think is more attractive? Thomas, Minho, Gally, or Newt? I mean, if I were there age, I would personally lean more towards New-"

You screamed in a full out rage as you chucked your phone across the room. It hit the wall, and fell behind the TV as your mother turned to look at you in surprise, "Well, ok then. I didn't think Newt was that bad..."

The image still burned in your mind's eye as your breathing became short and choppy. He had never...he would never...

"I'm so sorry, (Y/N). It's just that, you're my best friend and I thought I would let you know. He's been staring at her in admiration for a few months. They've been getting closer. You deserve better than this, in my opinion."
