Moriko's P. O. V:

I barely manage to roll out of the way in time to avoid being devoured by the demon, snatching up my nichirin katana.

I hiss and drop my sword as I momentarily forgot about my broken wrist. The four remaining demons chuckle.

"Looks like we have dinner tonight, boys!" One says happily.

"Yes! Now let's eat while she's still injured!" Says a second.

"She looks so tasty!" Adds a third, making me growl.

"I'm not going to be a demons' dinner!" I snap, gripping my sword in my left hand. I'm usually right handed, so it's going to be a bit awkward using my sword in my left hand. "Element Breathing, Sixth Form: Firewalking Rush!"

I dash towards the first demon on my left, instantly cutting him down after a few quick slashes.

"Element Breathing, Ninth Form: Complete Emptiness." I steady my breathing and temporarily become as still as a statue before I dash at the next demon, cutting it down in one swipe. "Element Breathing, Eighth Form: Wind and Clouds Tornado."

I slash once with my sword and a tornado of sharp winds knocks down the third demon, before I behead it.

I face the final one, the demon who spoke first, and ready my sword as he gets ready to finish me off. "Element Breathing, Seventh Form: Voice of the Wind."

I leap up and swing my sword, creating a strong gale of sharp wind that cuts down the demon before I decapitate it.

I stand in amongst a bunch of disintegrating demons, breathing heavily, before I flick the blood off my sword and sheathe my katana. Then I limp my way to the Butterfly Estate for Kocho to examine my wounds.

                      🗡️🗡️🗡️

"Ow, ow, ow! That hurts," I mumble as the Insect Hashira wraps up my broken wrist in a cast.

"You shouldn't be so reckless next time," Kocho scolds me. I give her an exasperated expression.

"Sorry, I was being pummelled by a bunch of demons," I say wryly.

"Which you could've easily taken out, someone at your level," She informs me.

"There were ten of them, Kocho! And I'm not a Hashira, remember?"

"No, but you could be one?"

I give her a deadpan look as I mutter, "You know the answer to that, Kocho—ow!" I wince as she ties the bandages a little too tight. I glare at her. "You did that on purpose!"

"Did I?" She asks innocently. My right eye twitches.

"Yes, and I think it's too tight."

"I'll go inform Tomioka that you're staying here till you're healed," She says before getting up and going to send a message to my husband.
