Moriko's P. O. V:

I wake up in the black hours of the morning and sit up in bed to see my husband, Giyu slipping on his burgundy and yellow and green checkered haori, looking ready to go for a mission.

It's been two years since we met and I started living here.

Giyu and I got married two years ago and we have three kids. Two of them are twins—a boy born first and a girl—and the third is another boy, who was born last year, so the first two are twins.

Over the past two years, I've risen from being Tsuchinoe rank to Kinoe rank. I mostly train with the Hashira and aid them on missions.

"Giyu-kun?" I murmur, causing him to turn.

"Did I wake you?" He asks.

"Where are you going?" I question.

"On a mission to MT. Natagumo, with Kocho."

"Okay." I watch as he clips his nichirin katana to his waist. Giyu turns to the door.

"I'll be going now," He murmurs. "I'll see you when I get back."

I remain there as I watch him leave. I then try to go back to sleep.

Third Person's P. O. V:

Moriko sighs as she waits at the kitchen table for her husband to return from the Hashira meeting he was no doubt at, after having had the trial. She silently wonders how it went.

She has her long blonde hair in a braid, which is how she has it when she's not on duty, and wears a pink kimono. She went about her day doing her normal routine while waiting for Giyu to return.

"Mummy?" Moriko looks up to find her eldest son who looks just like Giyu standing in the doorway with a stuffed teddy bear, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "When will dad be home?"

"Sweetie, you should be in bed," Moriko says as she gets up and goes over to him, picking him up. "Dad's at a Hashira meeting right now, but I'm sure he'll be home soon." She brushes back some spiky hair from his forehead. "Why don't you go back to bed?"

"Okay," The boy says with a yawn.

Moriko carries him back upstairs to the bedroom he shares with his brother, Makoto. Kayo, their sister born just two minutes after Mamoru, has her own room.

Moriko places Msmoru in his bed on one side of the room and tucks him back in. She murmurs, "Goodnight, Mamoru."

"Goodnight, mummy," He says before drifting off to sleep.

Moriko then leaves and closes the door before walking back downstairs, only to hear the front door opening. Giyu enters and locks the door behind him.

"Yu-kun," Moriko greets, causing him to flick his blue orbs up at her. She goes over to him. "How did it go?" Giyu explains what happened at the trial and Moriko's heart sinks at the thought of him possibly committing seppuku should Nezuko eat a human, even though she'd displayed great resistance to Sanemi's Marechi blood, a type of blood that intoxicates demons and makes them go crazy.

Nezuko was the demon girl Giyu had saved two years ago.

Giyu pulls her into a tight hug.

"I promise that I'll always be here to protect you, Mori-chan," He says. "I love you."

"I love you, too." They remain that way for a long while until Giyu pulls back.

Moriko takes Giyu's hand and leads him to the kitchen where she makes up his part of the dinner she left for him in the fridge.

Moriko stays up with Giyu to keep him company before they went off to bed.
