The Harmony of Elements (Giyu Tomioka X OC)

Chapter 11

Moriko's P. O. V:

Since I had fully healed, Kocho has allowed me to go home. Giyu was here to walk me back, and it's late morning.

"How about I look after the kids today?" He offers as we near our shared estate.

"Are you sure? I'm fully healed and I can still do it," I say.  "It's just—"

"You're so used to doing it, I get it," He says. "But I really don't mind. And you should spend the day resting anyway."

"Okay, Yu-kun," I say with a smile, before I kiss his cheek. We get home and I'm bombarded by the kids.

"Mummy! You're back," Aiko exclaims as she jumps into my arms.

"We've missed you while you were at the hospital," Mamoru adds.

"Sorry for worrying you," I say. "But I'm back now. But you'll be spending the day with your father as I still have to rest a bit, okay?"

"Okay, mummy."

I kiss Aiko's cheek before I set her down and smile at the children before I go to my and Giyu's shared room to rest up for the day.

I get changed in a green casual kimono with my hair in a braid. I then find out a book and sit on my futon.

At lunch time, I was reading when Giyu brings me a tray of delicious looking food and sets it down.

"This looks good," I say, picking up my chopsticks. "How are things going with the kids?"

"Good," He says, sitting seiza style beside me as I eat. "We went to the park earlier and got a treat on the way home. How's your day been so far?"

"Uneventful," I say as I pick up some rice. "I've just been reading."

"I'm sure it's still a good book, " He says.

"It is, but I'd rather be with my babies right now. Maybe I should go check on them," I say as I set down my chopsticks. I go to get up but Giyu grants my shoulders and gently lowers me back down.

"No, Mori-chan. You should rest for today. I said I'd take care of the kids, remember?" Giyu says firmly,

I let out a sigh. "Fine. I'll let you have all the fun this time." I e eating my food as Giyu smiles softly. He remains next to me as I eat my lunch, to keep me company.

After lunch, I go to do some laundry but Giyu says he'll do it and I watch him hang it out on the line outside, before we go back into the house and sit in the living room together, watching the kids play.

We need more food to make dinner but Giyu says he'll do it, so I stay home with Makoto, Mamoru and Aiko while Giyu goes to the marketplace to get food and other essentials.

I was cuddling with Makoto when he returns and he starts putting the stuff away. When he's finished, Giyu joins us and I lean comfortably against him.

When it was 6 0' clock, Giyu makes dinner which was delicious and we stay up for a few hours, before we all go to bed, with the kids being tucked in at nine.

I fall asleep with my head on Giyu's chest along with my arm, both of his arms wrapped securely around me.
