ARCHELLA'S POV

Love...

That word has been on and on in my mind lately. I never really knew or experienced that word. I don't even know what it directly means. To me, love means something a person likes like an object. I have loved thousands of objects but a person? No. Curiosity soon drove me and typed "What is love?" before pressing enter. I knew asking my friends would be useless so I'd rather do this on my own.

In true love, both partners recognize and value each other's individuality, opinions, and feelings. They listen without judgment and show consideration for each other's needs and wishes. Respect in true love means treating each other with kindness and honor, even in disagreements.

So this is love? Am I inlove? Do I feel affection towards him? What if I'm just infatuated? Yeah, maybe I am just infatuated. There's no way I would be inlove with a person like him. But if I really is inlove with him, what did I like in him? His looks? no. His maturity? maybe. His intelligence? probably smarter than him so no way.

"Who are you inlove with, Archella?"

Napabalikwas ako sa upuan ko nung makarinig ng boses mula sa likod ko. I turned to see who it was, only to know it was just Lilia. With Mia. And Aeros. With Atty. Kelle. And Officer Reyes also. I'm cooked.

"Huh?"

"Don't huh us. You were talking about love. It even says on your laptop, what is love?" Saad ni Atty. Kelle sakin while looking at me suspiciously. "OMG! Ms. No-time-for-love is literally inlove at the freaking moment! Ackkk!!!" Kinikilig na sigaw ni Mia. Of course their reaction would be like that, it's my first time that I fell inlove.

Wait, fell inlove? "Kala ko ba infatuated lang yun?" The people with me was shocked. But I was more shocked once those words came out of my mouth. "Yup, she's really inlove. If need mo ng help to impress that person, I'm willing to help whoever that lucky man is!"

Nung lumingon ako kila Officer Reyes at Aeros ay tsaka ko lang napansin na they were staring at eachother. If looks could kill, both of them would be dead by now. I just ignored it and thinked of something why I fell inlove with that man.

Habang nag iisip ay may nalala akong itatanong ko. "Why are you guys at my dorm?" Tanong ko sakanila. Yep, they disturbed my supposedly peaceful Saturday at my dorm. I was really planning to start doing the projects that I've missed because of cases. Not to mention, I also started my phase that I would call, missing-in-action.

Lately, I've observed that I have continuously been missing or skipping classes to study a different thing. A very different thing from my course. Of course, it's criminal cases. What else would it be?

"There's this case we can't solve."

"Okay, but what about them?" I asked again while looking at Mia and Lilia. "same reason."

"We have been receiving missing cases these pass few weeks. At first, akala namin normal lang but Atty. Kelle noticed something even at the first missing person case." Officer Reyes explained to me before looking at Atty. Kelle para ituloy ang sinasabi. "I noticed that the missing cases are like the one when Lilia went missing. Pare-parehas sila ng way on how they started missing. Not to mention, puro mga ka-age niyo lang din ang nawawala. Isosolve sana naming dalawa lang ni Officer Reyes kaso... we can't.
