_____________________________________________

"Hello?" I call out in a low raspy voice, hoping to hear a response that I have been so longing for, but I am left with only the echoes of my own voice as the horrid sound of my own voice rings in my ears, reminding me that I needed a drink of water soon before...

My face tilts downward in pure agony as my hands cover my face to catch the tears that fall. Like any girl in peril, I choose this exact moment to sit down on the mud and cry into my knees, while my clothes stain with mud. I know no one, not even a single soul can hear me now. No one will and no one will try because they can't, because I am alone, because I'm lost. The wilderness around me seems to swallow me up and I just want to die here, all alone. The thought of being all alone at the hour of my death makes me sob even harder and louder until I am heard.

"I suggest you run." a voice whispers coldly into my ears, a voice that makes me shudder in fear as I feel the adrenaline coursing through my body, telling me that I am in danger. The hot tears that were once pouring down my face stop in their place and I don't waste time.  I run.
