Belle’s POV
Did I hear right?
I gasp. I simply gasp. There’s no need to expand on the thought. You can tell what’s going on. If you can’t, let me enlighten you…These people were obviously looking for me. I did not want to be found or for the most part, caught. I want to be with the only family I have left-she is my last connection to my old life, and there is no way I am about to lose that.
Two strange looking men are coming towards me, and what do I do?
Nothing.
Why do I do nothing? Because it feels as though my feet are glued to the grass beneath me.
Come on feet…MOVE! Why can’t I move? Move! Come on me! Snap out of it! You’re going to ruin everything! Come on…Come on!!!
This isn’t the first time I’ve been so scared. But this time it’s different. There’s no phone to dial 911 with. My fear paralyzes me; I can feel it course through my veins and hinder my ability to even shift my position. I can hear them grunting as they struggle to climb up the hill. In just a few seconds, they’ll be at the top of the hill with me. I have but a few mere moments… The suspense is increasingly growing stronger and with it the chance that I am likely going to explode from a panic attack. I see the top of a head slowly merge from below and I cringe in fear, ready for the blow that is my fate.
