Belle's POV
What happens next, is a bit of a blur to me, and I never do remember. But it's okay, because what happens now isn't even the main event, there's more to come and what's the point in trying to remember something that will only cause my pain?
After a minute, I hear sirens blaring as the sound increasingly gets louder and louder until theres a knock on the door. The knock is loud and demanding and it gives me the impression that there bad guys outside the door. Besides, I am not allowed to open the door to strangers. Then I hear a man shout loudly...something about barging in. I don't really know what he means by it until I actually see it happen for myself. The door gets demolished, hammered/beaten down by their weapons and kicked open by a mere foot and in its place is a team of police and people that look like they drive an ambulance. They rush through and carry my gandmother away on one of those movable bed things, no matter how much I struggle and pull at their legs to let go of my dear grandmother. They don't listen. But instead, a man carries me on his back and gently places me in the backseat of his police car. He tries to assure me that everything will be alright. Where have I heard that before...
Everything is so stressful...
I know this is probably foolish of me to do so, but I fall asleep among all the havoc and chaos.
The next thing I remember is staring at a white ceiling that is unfamiliar to the ceiling I usually wake up to in the morning, until I realize that I am in an uncomfortable hospitable bed in a very loose fitting gown that doesn't even fit me at all-it's about a gazillion times bigger than me, covered by a white sheet. Everything is white. Does the hospital know that white is one of the most boringest colors in the world? I wish my gown was pink. Why don't they make pink gowns for girls? It makes sense.
Why am I here? I'm not the one in trouble! Oh no! Maybe they have it all wrong...where is grandma!? I need to get out of here and find her. What if she needs me?
I carefully peel the sheet off of me and dangle my little feet over the bed until I feel prepared to jump down. My bare feet are shivering as the coldness of the white-tiled floor seeps through. The gown threatens to slip off my body and I have to hug myself to keep it in place. I sneek out of my room, which really isn't a room. The walls are made of curtains...white curtains that are hung by a big metal rod. Though, the structure of the hosiptal's rooms is none of my concern at the very moment. I peek my head out and check to make sure that no one is around.
Clear.
I tip-toe, just like any good spy would, through the halls just when I get caught by a nurse.
"Hello. Let me guess, you're Belle?" This woman guesses correctly, making me very suspicious.
"Y-Yes"
How does she know my name?
"It's good to see that you're awake. Want to see your grandma?" The nurse smiles at me perkily as she reaches her hand out for me to grab.
"Yes please." I say with a nod, while remembering my manners.
I glady take her hand and she leads me towards another 'room' where I have been told my grandma is said to be...
"Is she okay now?" I ask the nurse, feeling a bit hopeful, but also very doubtful. Hospitals are places where very sick people are. Is my grandmother one of those people?
"Why don't you see for yourself?" The nurse smiles again, but this time its more stiff and insincere, like the kind of smiles I give the photographer when he forces me to smile and say the forsaken word 'cheese.'
"Okay.." I look up at the nurse one last time before she leaves my side forever and then I bravely push the curtain aside and prepare myself for what I am about to see...
