Sakura looked in the mirror, staring at her reflection and contemplating if she looked good enough. Her mother and maids encompassed her, telling her how beautiful she looked, but still Sakura couldn't ease the butterflies in her stomach.

She wondered what Gaara would think.

She worried so much about them going together that she was surprised she still had it in her to worry again.

The few minutes of solitude after she left Naruto's and Hinata's apartment were insufferable.

*Flashback*

The moment Sakura left the Hyuga-Uzumaki household, she felt like smacking herself and then rolling on the stairs so she wouldn't have to face her stupidity. Although, the last time she rolled on the stairs, it resulted in a visit to the hospital – long story short, some bullies at school decided to give Sakura some personal make-over – but that were some dark times, plus now Sakura actually wanted to somehow and at all cost avoid her conversation with Gaara.

Why, you might ask.

Well, she told Sasuke that She and Gaara would be attending together. She lied.

She wasn't even sure if Gaara was coming or if he was, then whether or not he planned to go with her.

And now she felt like she would be forcing him to do so if she were to ask.

But one look at Gaara's smiling face and all worries just evaporated. Everything would be fine.

*End of the flashback*

In the end, Gaara was actually the one who asked her, and then she broke down the truth and told him about her quick lie, Gaara snickered on that, saying he would ask her regardless of her lie, and when he finally dropped her home, something extra big and special happened.

He kissed her.

He actually kissed her.

Fireworks exploded in Sakura's mind, every ounce of it felt right, but when their lips parted, Sakura could swear she saw onyx eyes instead of teal. Her entire body jolted, afraid of what she saw and how relived her heart felt in that second. Gaara didn't notice anything, he was just happy but Sakura felt torn apart.

She bid him goodbye, plastered the biggest smile on her face, and then crashed on her bed. She couldn't sleep. She stayed up the whole night, writing a song.

She called it 'Bad Idea'. The melody of the song rang in her head for a long time, specifically from the moment she met Sasuke at the park. Whenever she crossed paths with him, she heard the beat in her mind. It was especially annoying when she was forced to tolerate his presence at Naruto's and Hinata's place for the whole hour.

And that moment of whatever it was after her and Gaara's kiss, the whispery melody in her mind got louder, the words 'Bad idea' echoed every single time, and finally, she put them all on the paper and with her guitar she brought them to life.

Writing a new song after her unnerving and annoying writing slump was a victory, but Sakura couldn't celebrate. Not when her first actual song after the struggling was about Sasuke.
