"Hyung, what the hell—leave me alone! You're literally choking me!!!" Jungkook yelled, his voice a mix of surprise and laughter as he struggled to wriggle free from the tight embrace of Jimin and Hobi. The moment he stepped through the front door, they had launched themselves at him like two overexcited puppies, their laughter echoing through the hallway.
Jimin and Hobi finally released him, their chuckles filling the air like music. "We missed you! Coconut head!" Jimin teased, affectionately patting Jungkook's head as if he were a child, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
Jungkook shot him a straight-faced glare, crossing his arms defensively. "I'm not a two-year-old fucking baby that you need to pat," he retorted, slapping Jimin's hand away with a mixture of annoyance and playful defiance. But deep down, he couldn't deny the warmth that spread through him at their affection. He loved the way they welcomed him home, even if he’d never admit it out loud.
"Shut up, assho—" Jungkook started, but his retort was abruptly cut off by a booming voice from the living room. "WHO THE FUDGE CURSED IN FRONT OF MY HOLY EARS?!" Jin yelled, his tone a mix of mock outrage and genuine disbelief.
The three of them burst into loud laughter, the sound ringing through the house and filling it with joy. Jungkook felt a swell of happiness as he looked around at his friends, his heart lightening. This chaotic, loving atmosphere was exactly what he had missed, reminding him that no matter where he went, home was always where they were.
You lay down on the bed, feeling the exhaustion from the day catch up to you. The softness of the sheets lulled you into a deep sense of comfort and relaxation, your eyes slowly closing as you drifted into a peaceful slumber. The world outside faded away, and for a moment, everything felt perfect.
As the hours passed, the sky gradually turned grey, signaling the arrival of another day. The soft light began to seep through the curtains, gently nudging you from your deep sleep. You stirred, feeling the remnants of your dreams slip away, and the reality of the day started to settle in.
You sat up on the bed sleepily, letting out a groggy, "Ahmmm, I don't wanna wake up! I wanna sleep," before flopping back onto the bed with a dramatic sigh. Just as you were about to surrender to the comfort of your sheets again, your phone started ringing, piercing the calm of the morning. With a lazy extension of your hand, you picked it up, your voice still thick with sleep. "Hwello~ yawn*"
"WHAT THE FUCK Y/N YOU'RE STILL SLEEPING!! YOU HAVE A MEETING IN HALF AN HOUR, YOU SHIT!" Zyran's voice blared through the speaker, jolting you awake. Your eyes widened in shock, adrenaline kicking in as you sat up abruptly.
"OH SHIT!! ZYRAN, WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU CALL ME EARLIER?!" you screamed, already rushing toward the bathroom, your heart racing.
Zyran rolled his eyes on the other end of the line. "I knew your lazy ass wasn't gonna wake up soon!"
"SHUT UP AND PICK ME UP IN 15!" you yelled back, hanging up before you even heard his response. Panic set in as you hurriedly jumped into the shower, berating yourself. "Oh my god—shit! Y/N, you're dumb! Really! You're late for your first meet-up! Congratulations, stupid!" You made a crying face in the mirror, trying to shake off the sleepiness and get your act together.
You quickly prepared yourself, throwing on your outfit and doing a last-minute check in the mirror before grabbing your purse, file, and keys. You bolted toward the gate, your mind racing with thoughts of what you needed to do.
Just as Zyran was about to knock, the door swung open, and there you were, huffing and puffing as you grabbed his hand. "Come quickly, doofus!! I'm getting late because of you!!" you exclaimed, dragging him out and closing the door behind you with a swift motion. Your heart raced as you both sprinted toward the car, the morning light now fully illuminating the chaos of your hurried start.
