You are flying to Seoul to live there for a year. Although you are Korean, you moved with your parents to the USA when you were young. Now, you’re sitting in your seat on the plane, headphones on, lost in the rhythm of your favorite music. As you glance up from your book, your eyes catch sight of the seat in front of you, where a Korean guy wearing a mask sits. Little do you know, it’s Jungkook, the K-pop idol and member of BTS.

You immerse yourself in the pages of your book, the world around you fading away. Meanwhile, Jungkook is feeling a bit bored, missing his bandmates as he returns to Korea after a whirlwind photoshoot in New York. He sighs softly, his gaze wandering around the cabin. Some passengers are sleeping, while others engage in quiet conversations, but his eyes eventually land on you.

Your focus is unwavering; you’re completely absorbed in your reading, unaware of the idol’s interest. Amused by your concentration, Jungkook decides to take a break and heads to the bathroom. As he stands up and walks past you, he accidentally steps on your foot.

“Ouch! Ah!” you yelp in pain, instinctively reaching for your foot.

Jungkook immediately spins around, his eyes widening in concern. “I’m so sorry! I wasn’t looking where I was walking. Are you okay?” His voice is filled with genuine worry, and for a moment, time seems to stand still as you look up at him, oblivious who he is.

You quickly removed your shoes, eager to inspect your bare foot, which was already turning red from the unexpected impact. The pained expression on your face only made Jungkook feel more guilty.

Without hesitation, he knelt down in front of you, concern etched across his features. “Does it hurt? Let me see!”

Your eyes widened in surprise at the sight of someone so famous kneeling before you. “Oh! No—no! It’s fine, it’s fine!” you stammered, trying to brush off his worry.

Jungkook looked up at you, his brow furrowed with worry. “No, I’m really sorry. Let me see your foot!” He gently took your foot into his hands, inspecting it with utmost care. His fingers softly caressed the spot where he had stepped on, sending a shiver through you. “Can you move your toes?”

“H-hey! It’s fine really, please get up!” you protested, feeling flustered. You had never encountered someone so kind before; usually, people would just walk away without a second thought. Here was this man, kneeling down to check if he had hurt you badly.

Jungkook offered you an apologetic smile. “I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable, but I just wanted to make sure it’s not broken.”

You chuckled lightly, trying to ease the tension. “What broken? You just stepped on it; it’s nothing serious! It will be fine in no time.”

He nodded, still looking a bit embarrassed but clearly relieved. “Are you sure? It really looks like it hurts. Is it okay if I take another look?”

You nodded, and Jungkook carefully took your foot again, examining it closely. He was so focused on your foot that he didn’t realize how close his face was to it. After a moment, he looked up at you, his expression softening. “I don’t think it’s broken; it’s just a bit red. It should pass in a few minutes. I’m really sorry again.”

You chuckled again, finding Jungkook's expression quite endearing. "Did you really think it would be broken?" you teased, trying to lighten the mood.

Jungkook looked a bit sheepish but smiled back at your comment. Just as he was about to respond, the flight attendant's announcement interrupted the moment, signaling everyone to buckle up for takeoff. Jungkook got up and returned to his seat.
