Heyyyy!!!!૮₍'。ᵔ ꈊ ᵔ。'₎ა

Four days had passed, and your foot was now perfectly fine. You were sitting in your cabin at BigHit, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the company, yet your mind was far from the present. It was consumed by thoughts of Jungkook—his radiant smile, the way his eyes sparkled when he looked at you. It was undeniable that he accepted the bond you both shared, a friendship that felt like it could blossom into something more. His charming aura lingered in your mind, making you think about him more than you wanted to, but you couldn't help it.

Suddenly, your phone rang, breaking you from your daydream. You picked it up, a smile creeping onto your face. "Hello?"

"Hii my baby— I miss you sooo much!!" Your mom's voice bubbled with excitement, and you couldn't help but smile widely.

"I miss you sooo much too! How are you?" you replied, feeling a warmth spread through you.

"Brat, you didn't miss me a bit! You were so busy that you couldn't even call me," your mom whined playfully.

You chuckled, "Mumma, I'm sorry! I just got so busy, and everything here is new! Settling in is hard—"

"NO! You're just a lazy brat!" Your mom laughed, her teasing tone making you roll your eyes.

"MOM! I AM NOT A LAZY BRAT!" you exclaimed, mock-offended, but you couldn't suppress your laughter. The familiar banter with her felt like a comforting hug, grounding you amidst the whirlwind of emotions and thoughts about Jungkook.

Your mom giggled, "I don't know who you're telling—me or yourself?"

You couldn't help but laugh, but then the weight of missing her hit you hard, and tears began to well up in your eyes. "Mumma, I miss you! I felt so alone here! I don’t wanna stay here!" Your voice trembled slightly, the vulnerability spilling out.

The lightness in your mom's voice faded as she sensed your pain. "Hey, baby, don't be like that! You're my strong baby! It's just a matter of time, and you will be back here with me, right? So cheer up!" Her words wrapped around you like a warm blanket, reminding you of the love that awaited you back home.

You managed a small smile at her encouragement. "Yes, Mumma! I am strong! And I will be with you in no time!" You wiped your tears and stood up, looking out through the glass wall of your cabin.

As you gazed outside, a rush of joy filled you when you spotted Jungkook. He was standing there, his phone pressed to his ear, his expressive face lighting up with laughter as he talked to someone. He looked so carefree, and for a moment, you forgot about your worries.

"Hey! Are you listening to me, brat? I'm TALKING HERE!!" Your mom's voice broke through your thoughts, filled with playful annoyance.

You winced, almost feeling like you were about to go deaf from her sudden outburst. "Mom, what the hell! You literally made my ear bleed!" You couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all, the contrast between your mom's loudness and the calmness of the scene outside.

"Well, maybe if you paid attention, I wouldn’t have to yell!" she retorted, but you could hear the smile in her voice. You felt a little lighter, knowing that despite the distance, her spirit was right there with you.

"Ye-yeah," your breath hitched when Jungkook looked up directly at you!

"Yes, hyung! I already get it—" his voice trailed off mid-sentence as he caught your gaze. Jungkook's heart raced, and in that moment, everything around you faded away.
