You stretched yourself as soon as you both landed, feeling the cool night air caressing your skin. You took a deep breath, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings. The city of Gwangju spread out before them, the lights of the buildings and streets gleaming in the darkness.
"It's different from Seoul," you murmured, the excitement clear in your voice. "It's quieter here."
Jungkook nodded in agreement, his eyes scanning the cityscape.
"Yeah, it's a lot quieter," he said, a hint of surprise in his voice. "There's a lot less chaos compared to Seoul."
He shoved his hands into the pockets of his jacket, a cool breeze ruffling his hair gently. He glanced at you, a small smile tugging at his lips.
"It's kind of nice, actually"
You looked ahead as the car approached, "Oh, Zey has sent the car, let's go," you said, turning to face him. "But first, Mr. Idol, please wear a mask."
Jungkook rolled his eyes, but obeyed, putting on the mask you handed him.
"You won't let me forget it, will you?" he said, his voice a little muffled through the mask, you chuckled,
He followed you to the waiting car, still a bit amused by your constant reminders about keeping his identity hidden.
As you both climbed into the car, Jungkook sank into the comfortable seats, grateful for the privacy the tinted windows provided. He glanced at you, a smirk playing on his lips.
"You know, I could get used to this," he teased. "It's kind of nice not being recognized for a change."
You chuckled in response, a hint of a smile on your lips as you looked at Jungkook.
"Well don't get too comfortable," you said, trying to sound stern. "This is still a business trip, remember? We have to make sure no one recognizes you out there."
Jungkook feigned disappointment, dramatically pouting even though you couldn't see it through his mask.
"Aww, come on Y/N. Can't we have a little fun while we're here?" he whined, giving you puppy eyes under the mask.
You couldn't help but smile, his whining tone making it hard to resist.
"We'll have plenty of time to have fun, Kookie," you replied, shaking your head in feigned annoyance. "But first, we have to keep you out of sight. You agreed to this, remember?"Jungkook sighed, resigning himself to his fate.
"Fine," he grumbled, although there was a hint of amusement in his voice. "I guess I'll have to play the role of the 'anonymous stranger' for a few days."
"We're here, ma'am!" the driver said as he stopped the car.
The car pulled up to a cozy inn in a peaceful neighborhood. The place looked inviting, with a sign that read 'Sunny Day Inn'. It seemed like the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway.
Jungkook unbuckled his seat belt, his eyes taking in the surroundings. It was a far cry from the grand hotels and upscale places he was used to staying in.
"Is this... where we're staying?" he asked, a tone of surprise in his voice.
He stepped out of the car, pulling his mask down a bit so he could breathe freely. He looked around, taking in the peaceful neighborhood. It was a nice change from the bustling city of Seoul.
You nodded, shutting the car door behind you.
"Yep, this is the place," you confirmed. "It's not fancy like the hotels you're used to, but it's cozy, and it's private. That's what matters, right?"
