Are You In Love With Me?

Eugene and Angel prepare for school, with Angel dressing Eugene in a style reminiscent of the plastics. They drive to school together. In the school lounge, Betty and Kelly discuss Betty's relationship, with Kelly offering her additional advice. As Heather and Martin pass each other in the hallway, Martin turns back and approaches her. They engage in conversation just as Angel and Rose exit the bathroom, gossiping about Martin and Heather on their way to the lounge. Meanwhile, Heather and Martin continue their discussion, where Martin confesses his lingering feelings for her, but she insists it cannot happen and walks away. During gym class, students are running back and forth, and Angel, feeling overwhelmed, exclaims that it's torture. Mrs. Tiana responds by suggesting that if he has an issue, he can step down from cheer captain and leave. Angel rolls his eyes and takes a seat on the bleachers next to Carolyn and Rose, where they resume their gossip. In the hallway, Eugene struts confidently, receiving compliments on his outfit and gaining popularity among his peers. Later, after school, Martin approaches Heather and Betty, creating an awkward moment that is interrupted when Betty kisses him, causing Heather to feel jealous. Martin offers to drive both girls home, but Heather hesitates while Betty encourages her to join. They both get into Martin's car, and he drops Betty off first. As they drive away, Heather takes the front seat to confront Martin about his closeness with Betty. He then drives Heather home, and as he leans in for a kiss, she momentarily daydreams about it but ultimately pulls back, thanking him before exiting the car. Meanwhile, Angel is doing homework with Ashley while Rose prints pictures, accompanied by Y2K music in the background. Eugene knocks on the door, and Angel invites him in, offering help with his homework by simply providing his answers. Angel takes hold of the burn book while Rose collects the photographs, and the three Plastics begin documenting their thoughts about various individuals within its pages. Eugene inquires about the purpose of the burn book, prompting them to clarify its significance. Meanwhile, Heather is engrossed in watching "Stranger Things" in her room when Martin unexpectedly appears at her window. She invites him inside, and they share a lighthearted conversation filled with laughter. Their moment escalates into a kiss, but Heather quickly expresses her discomfort, insisting they should stop. Martin departs, professing his love for her. As time progresses, Martin becomes increasingly fixated on Heather, even while maintaining a relationship with Betty, who, in turn, is infatuated with Edward while also seeing Martin. Later that evening, the football players are scheming their annual "slut bucket" tradition, selecting Marie as their first target. They upload her intimate video to Twitter under the account "northshoresluts." The following day at school, Marie walks through the hallways, only to be met with laughter and derogatory remarks, leaving her bewildered and unaware of the unfolding drama.  In the lounge, Martin is with his jock friends when he notices Heather sitting alone. He approaches her from behind, caressing her side and kissing her neck, which startles her. After calming her down, she questions him about the rumors surrounding Marie. He then shows her the video of Marie with two men, leaving Heather visibly shocked. When the bell rings, Heather pulls Marie into the bathroom along with Betty and Kelly to discuss the tape. Overwhelmed, Marie breaks down in tears and flees the school, retreating home to cry under her covers.  Later that night, Kelly returns from spending time with friends and checks on Marie, who insists on being left alone. The Plastics add Marie to the burn book, labeling her as "the north shore slut." As Kelly prepares for bed, she scrolls through the comments, particularly one from Angel that reads, "lmfaoooo north shore slut BAHAHAHA 😭😭." With a roll of her eyes, Kelly finally goes to sleep.
