Angel is depicted running frantically around his home, shouting, when his mother discovers him. Concerned, she inquires about the source of his distress, but he only repeats, "he's gone," without providing any further details. Assuming it is related to drug use, she dismisses it and returns to bed. Meanwhile, Angel makes a phone call, urgently stating, "get over here now. it's an emergency." Later that evening, Betty prepares for her first official date with Edward, showcased through a montage. Once ready, she hops into her Uber, and the driver sets off. The four Plastics arrive at Angel's house and enter his room, where they find him anxiously pacing. They ask him what's troubling him, and he reveals that Martin's body is missing. They check the closet and are startled to find it empty. Doubts arise about whether Martin was ever dead, prompting Angel to recount how he checked for a pulse multiple times, leaving them all in stunned silence. Meanwhile, Betty arrives at Alcove Restaurant, where she meets Edward. They share a kiss and discuss their lives while placing their orders. He gifts her a gold Zales necklace, which he fastens around her neck, followed by another kiss and a slow dance. The following day at school, the Plastics gather in the hallway, engaging in conversation, while Betty and Edward make their signature entrance. They then proceed to the student lounge, where Heather senses that Betty might be aware of something. The others concur, especially when they witness Betty sharing a kiss with Edward. Later, at Angel's house, the Plastics discuss Betty and her seemingly perfect life, prompting Heather to devise a scheme to force Betty to confess her knowledge about Martin. The next day, the Plastics are seen whispering about Betty, and they observe her kissing Edward before she heads into the bathroom. Rose and Ashley follow her inside, waiting for her to exit the stall. When she does, they mention a sleepover party and extend an invitation to her. Initially skeptical, Betty is eventually convinced by Ashley and Rose's persuasive efforts. She reluctantly agrees, and they express their excitement before leaving. That evening, as Betty and Edward are kissing, she receives a text from Carolyn that reads, "Are you coming or not, biatch?" This prompts Betty to pause and inform Edward that she needs to leave. She departs and arrives at Angel's house, where she is welcomed inside. She quickly realizes that she is alone with them, but they reassure her not to be concerned. They begin to engage in various activities such as doing nails and hair, enjoying pizza, playing Just Dance, indulging in ice cream, having pillow fights, and smoking marijuana. As the evening progresses, they start a game of truth or dare, during which Betty feels increasingly uneasy, suspecting a setup. Angel then poses the pivotal question to Betty: truth or dare? Betty opts for truth, leading Angel to ask her a provocative question. This prompts Betty to lash out, resulting in a heated argument that causes her to leave. A few days later, Rose and her father discuss the magazine and upcoming photoshoots, which leads to a conversation about pregnancy. Her father encourages her to follow her heart, which transitions into a distressing moment where she experiences the aftermath of an abortion involving twins. After comforting her, her father watches as Rose walks away, only to be met by the Plastics, who rush to embrace her. Meanwhile, Angel seizes Rose's phone and sends a message to Joseph, stating, "I just killed your two kids, I hope you're fucking happy." A few days later at school, the hallway buzzes with chatter as the Plastics make their final iconic entrance, while Betty looks on, consumed by jealousy. The students separate into their respective classes. Later, during chemistry, Angel requests permission from the teacher to use the restroom, which is granted. As he leaves, an unidentified individual enters the school armed with a gun and shoots the receptionist at the front desk. The principal, alerted by the gunfire, investigates and encounters the armed intruder. He quickly retreats to his office and announces a hard lockdown to everyone. Meanwhile, the intruder roams the hallways. Angel, hearing the lockdown announcement, feels a surge of fear as he realizes he is alone in the restroom. The intruder discovers Angel's school schedule in his back pocket, noting that Angel is in chemistry class, and heads there. He knocks on the door, instilling fear in the students inside, then shatters the glass and forces the door open, searching for Angel. He yells, "WHERE'S ANGEL?" prompting Kat to reveal that Angel is in the bathroom, leading the intruder to leave. The chemistry students quickly barricade the door to prevent his return. Angel is concealed in the stall as the mysterious figure bursts in, searching for him. A tense game of cat and mouse ensues until Angel manages to escape and flee from the bathroom. He dashes down the hallway, only to hear someone call his name. Turning slowly, he discovers that the mystery man is Martin. They engage in a conversation about Angel's actions, during which he confesses to writing the contents of the book. Martin ominously informs him that it is time for him to die, prompting Angel to flee with Martin in pursuit. As Angel races up the stairs, Martin follows closely behind, firing shots in his direction. Martin manages to trip Angel on the stairs, leading to a struggle between them. However, Angel kicks Martin away and ascends to the second floor. He heads toward the back exit, with Martin hot on his heels. Reaching the gym, Angel begins pounding on the gym door before darting into the janitor's closet, making his way to the back and into the hallway of the gym locker room. Once in the locker room, Angel bangs on the door, desperately screaming for help. A crowd of onlookers hesitates at the door, unsure of what to do, until Ashley takes the initiative to open it for him. In a swift motion, Martin rushes in and fires a shot, shattering the glass, prompting the students to flee in panic. As Martin enters the locker room, he and Angel engage in a fierce altercation, causing Martin to drop his weapon. Ashley initially escapes but quickly returns to the locker room, followed closely by Joseph. In a moment of bravery, Ashley intervenes to protect Angel from Martin, who retaliates by striking Ashley in the arm, prompting Joseph to tackle him momentarily. While Ashley tends to Angel, Martin shoots Joseph in the chest. In a united effort, Angel and Ashley confront Martin, forcing him to drop his gun once more. Ashley seizes the opportunity to retrieve the weapon and fatally shoots Martin. After ensuring Joseph is okay, Angel fires another shot at Martin as a precaution. Angel then activates the fire alarm, sending everyone into a frenzy as they rush out of the school. The sprinklers activate, and multiple ambulances arrive on the scene, transporting Joseph while Martin is placed in a body bag. Angel and Ashley accompany Joseph to the hospital. A few days later, a funeral is held for Martin, attended by the Plastics, Joseph, Benjamin, Kelly, Marie, Betty, Edward, and Eugene, who ultimately decide to burn the funeral, with Angel throwing the burn book into the flames.
