When you meet

When you finally land your grandma had send a car to pick up because you never learned to drive because your mother was old school she said your husband would drive you everywhere you hated it because you knew you would never find him. You finally got to your grandma who lives in a big house in the middle of the city. Your grandmother greeted you at the door. She smiled and said "there's my grand-baby" With a smile you smile and hug her. She tells you where your room is and you want to put your bag in it. "Ok are you hungry I can make us lunch." You said going to the fridge that's when you realized it was empty so you went through the freezer and the cabinets she had no food. "Gran do you want me to go to the store you don't have any food." "Yes I was hoping you would do that I thought it would be a good way to get out and see the town." "That's fine I'll go now." After you change your clothes in to a spaghetti top crop top and shorts being as it was significantly hotter then where you came from it was all desert here. She gives you money for the groceries and you take her cart because you were walking and you headed out the door. When you get to the store your shopping around grabbing the things on your grandmothers list when you bump into a person you look up and see the most handsome man you have ever seen. They just stand there for a moment that's when u realized he drop something you bent down to pick it up when you hand it to him it shows him the name on your forearm his eyes went big and instead of grabbing the bread he drop from your hand he grab your forearm and looked at the name on your arm he rub it with his thumb gently. That's when he speaks "Are you y/n y/l/n." You pulled your arm away from him that prompts him to start taking off his dark blue blazer he rolled up his sleeve to him elbow and there it has her name on his arm. She steps to him and does the same thing he did and runs his finger over her name he rest his hand on her hip she smiled up at him and he put his other hand on her waist pulling her closer she still had the bread in her hand he takes it and gives it to the man with two braids a few steps behind him. That's when you realize the holster strap around the man behind him shoulders and down by his side. You step away that's when Miguel realizes what you are looking at his face fell he had a lot to explain that's when you notice something else the ring on his left hand he watched as your eyes go from the gun strapped to Nestor to his ring and in a matter of moments he watch it all fall apart. You ran "wait." He said holding an arm out to you but you didn't you had almost completed your shopping so you went to the register. The older man started to ring up your things when Miguel caught up with you. "Please just talk to me I can explain everything" but you didn't even look at him you just gave the man your money and loaded your things into your cart and walk towards the exit. You started to walk home when he pulled up beside you in his car. Please get in I'll give you a ride and we can talk please." Nestor had never heard Miguel say please or ask someone something twice or beg. "I don't get in the car with strangers." She finally spoke. "I'm not a stranger we are soulmates." You stop walking and Nestor stop the car you look over at him. "Please." He said. She walks up to the car door when she sees Nestor getting out of the drivers seat he walks around to her takes the cart of groceries and puts them in the truck. That's when Miguel gets out of his side of the car and walks around to open the door you get in. "I know there a lot to explain your not from here are you." You shake your head no "I'm from Indiana." He smiled and took your hand in his. "I Need to tell you I am married but I only married her because I accidentally got her pregnant yes I love her because she is the mother of my son but I'm not in love with her I promise." Your face fell in a frown "Then why did you marry her." you said. Miguel looked away from you his jaw clinches you can feel the anger coming off him you fear you have asked the wrong question. You're about to apologize when he starts to talk again. "Look I only married her because I thought it was the right thing to do after she had my kid but I'm not in love with her." You sat there for a little. "Ok so what's it mean for us and why does he wear guns like that and why does he drive you around what is this." "That's more complicated." He said that's when him and Nestor made eye contact in the rear view mirror. "I'm a Cartel boss." He just came right out and said it. You sat there in shock it wasn't the worst thing you had heard when you were little you lived in a bad neighborhood where there was to much crime and death. You looked around for a moment taking in your surroundings realizing the car had stop In front of a hotel. "Come in with me and we can continue this." "No no I can't I have to get back to my gran I was grocery shopping for her when this happened." "I can send someone there to take care of her and deliver the groceries. You were hesitant for a moment then agreed Miguel told Nestor to call his mom and he sent him to deliver the groceries and wait with her till his mom comes then come back. Miguel got out of the car and pull her out gently by the hand and walked her into the hotel checking in and remind them that this needs to be handled with discretion. He pulled you into the room and you talked into the night when it you start to get sleepily he strips down to his underwear and she takes off she shorts and the climb into bed to she cuddles into him and drifts off to sleep.
