You were in the living room watching tv as you grandmother took a nap when you heard a knock on the door think it was the new guard you got up to answer it but there stood a woman the one of Miguel contact photo of his wife. "What can I do for you." "Nothing I just wanted to see the new woman my husband leaving me for you look like your 15." "I'm 19 not that it's any of your business and I didn't know he left you and how do you know where I live." "We'll your Miguel most prized possession now so I knew he would have Nestor looking after you so I created a problem I know only he and Nestor could fix leaving you all alone so I can do this." She pushes you in the house knocking you down and she kicks you but you stand up and punch her in the face then all the sudden you break out into a big fight then you hear two gun shoots ring out and your on the ground before everything goes black you hear her say "Your not getting my son you bitch you'll never be his mom." When you awaken it's dark and you hear beeping you open your eyes and Miguel is asleep in the chair beside your bed and his head is laying on by your hip and he's holding your hand you let go of his hand and stroke his hair. He stirs awake "oh my God you're awake thank God." As he calls in a nurse you ask "How long have I been here." Before he could answer the nurse comes in oh Mrs.Galindo you're awake" You look over at Miguel and he just smiles they nurse takes your vitals and checks your wounds then leaves after she see everything's ok "Mrs.Galindo?" Well they ask what your name was and even though it's on your I.D no one had the balls to question me when I have you my last name and to answer your question from be for they had to remove the bullets it was touch and go for a while because they nicked a blood vessel and you almost bleed out into your chest but you made it through and you be out for three weeks don't worry I've been taking care of your grandmother." You took his hand again and squeezed it gently. "Thank you." You say Miguel looked worried. "I'm sorry I couldn't keep you safe it's my job and I failed." You put your hand on his check and he leaned into it. "Miguel you did the best you could im the one who told Nestor it was ok for him to go you couldn't have known that would happen I don't blame you or think you can't keep me safe she's crazy that's all." You said Miguel stands up and kisses you when you hear the door open you break apart to see his mom coming in with Cristobal. You smile at the baby. "Aww can I hold him." Miguel smiled "he's your baby to now as long as it does hurt to i mean you just got two bullets remove from you chest." "It's fine it won't hurt I feel fine right now." You got scoot over in the bed and have Miguel get in next to you so you have support holding the baby Miguel takes his shoes off and climbs in bed with you after he is settled his mom hands you Cristobal. Miguel kisses your temple and rubs Cristobal's head. "Can I ask you something?" You asked "of course." "What happened to his mom the one who attacked me." Miguel got wide eyed. "What do you mean it was her how do you know it was her." "I recognized her from her contact photo on your phone." "She did this to you." "Yeah she said the she made sure to do something to have you called Nestor back then when I was alone she came in and attacked me and shot me twice and said I'd never be Cristobal's mom." You rocked Cristobal to sleep as Miguel got up to take a phone call soon you were asleep with Cristobal on your chest.

Miguel's p.o.v
Miguel called Nestor he let his mom go home when Nestor answered Miguel instantly started to talk "y/n is awake and she said Emily did this to her." Miguel said "How do you want this handled this." Nestor said "We'll handle this tomorrow right now I just want to be with her and our son but pick Emily up tomorrow and take her to the pew." No one was going to hurt you and get away with it, as he hung up the phone he looks through the glass on your door to see you sound asleep with Cristobal on your chest. He smiles and walks back into the room. The spot for him in the bed is still empty so he takes it and falls asleep next to you. Miguel is woken up early with a call from Nestor "I got he on the pew but she's denying the whole thing happened and the y/n is lying but we went to her grandmas house to see if she knew anything she said she was a sleep but the door bell has a camera and so did the the house across the street so we got it all on camera not that I didn't believe y/n but it went down just like she said it did. When you wake up Dita is there of course she introduced her self even though you already knew who she was and she tells you to call her mom as she takes Cristobal from you to get him changed and feed. You look around for Miguel when she tells you "He's out in the hall talking to Nestor." That's when you notice a nurse coming in and Miguel and Nestor fallowing behind her she checked you vitals again and everyone step out of the room except Miguel when she said she had to change your bandages which would expose your chest she says if your vitals are fine when they check again in four hours you can be discharged today Miguel smiles and thanks her and she leaves. Miguel gets back in the bed with you and his mom carrying your new son with Nestor behind her come back in the room. "Do you have work today I know you're a busy man." You say looking over the Miguel as his mother gives him Cristobal he says him between you as you talk. "I only have one thing to do today then I'm yours for the rest of the day but what I have to do can be dealt with later. I'm never too busy for you." He said as he leaned to kiss you then Cristobal.
