Getting up the next morning, you rolled over and saw that Paul wasn't in bed. You frowned at his absence. Yes, he had been gone for a few weeks. But that didn't mean you didn't expect to sleep in with him on his first official off day from touring for at least a week.
You got up out of bed to use the restroom, and looked at your reflection in the mirror stepping back slightly in shock. Your hair was everywhere despite having the hairband in. Which technically was serving no purpose since it was holding onto the end strands of your ponytail you had put your hair into the night before going to bed.
Sighing to yourself you struggled with the hairband to take it out of what were now knots in your hair from moving so much in your sleep. Finally flinging the hairband out of your hair and have it hit the mirror you smiled slightly at your success. Even if it resulted in your messy hair looking like you put your finger in a liight socket.
"well I couldn't be more attracted to you more than I am now," Paul said from the doorway, making you jump and clutch at your chest because you hadn't heard him walking.
You laughed immediately after the shock wore away. "oh yes can't you see this in a salon? latest and greatest style," you joked.
Paul smiled as you started to put some oils and other hair products into your hair before you tried to tackle the knots in your hair.
"don't take too long, breakfast isn't gonna get cold," he said with a smirk on his face as he looked you up and down like he was seeing you naked despite being more than decently covered from the pajamas that you had on, the usual t-shirt and shorts since you had been staying at his house throughout the tour cycle you had been running the central air. Why not right? It wasn't like at your apartment where you would rather sweat it out during the night so you wouldn't have to pay the high electricity bill later on.
You quickly ran your hairbrush through your hair getting most of the knots out before walking downstairs and smelling coffee in the air and what you thought was hashbrowns.
"Definitely didn't realize how much I missed your cooking until you were--" you said as you walked into the room, it all looked normal. The dining room was the same, but you could tell something was very much off in the dining room you could just sense it. But you couldn't see anything that was out of place.
"Sit down, you don't want breakfast to get cold, do you?" Paul questioned as you looked up at him suspicious. You looked at the table your plate was already on the table with a steaming cup of coffee next to it. Your stomach grumbled as you looked at the full plate of eggs, hashbrowns and toast.
"No, I guess not," you said as you pulled the chair away from the table and sat down on and sipped at your coffee, as you were watching Paul to the side.
"So, did you have any fun excursions while out on tour? I know you were busy but I know I definitely would've taken the time to explore," you asked
"There was some down time. Only excursions centered around food, after a couple days of hotel food you definitely want to go out and find better food," he said with a smile.
"oh definitely that does make a difference," you nodded in agreement as you stabbed some eggs with your fork and popped them in your mouth.
"you know what we should do sometime? Cook or bake together, yes that is your domain but I have some skills to," you offered up as Paul smiled and nodded.
"sure, I would like that. See how long it takes before you are going for the takeout menus," he joked as you rolled your eyes in response.
"I can cook, I just decide not to during the week because when I get home I'm so tired. But I do make breakfast for mtself every morning and my lunch for work. Which is more than I can say about people from my work," You commented in a pleased tone as you sipped at your coffee.
