You parked in one of the parking spots, and got out of your car, Starbucks drink in hand as you leaned against the trunk waiting for Evan. You opened up your messages and your finger hesitated over Paul's name. You wanted to let him know what was happening and yet you didn't want to pull him into the drama any further considering he was states away and couldn't do anything to help you out.Plus, you also just wanted to kill this problem before it escalated any further. Evan putting his hands on you was where the line was for you. Which was also why you were holding onto your car keys that had the mace spray attached to it just in case.
Evan parked his car a couple spaces away and walked up to you with an almost smug look on his face.
"So you text me and then what? Bail from the house before we can run into each other at the house?"
"I didn't want to talk to you, so I left. Plus, that text message wasn't for you in the first place," you said as you fiddled with your keys in your hand. Hearing them jingling gave you something else to split your focus on so you could control your rising anger at being around him.
"Oh, of course not. After yesterday, why would you text me?"
"Could ask you the same thing and yet you were the one that texted me asking me what I was doing. You couldn't wait long. Just as he left to come and bother me huh?" you questioned right back.
"It was an innocent text message. You are reading way too much into it y/n," Evan said with a shrug of his shoulders as he sipped at his coffee.
"Funny how you say that because you didn't contact me after the breakup. But now you do. Right after everything yesterday. When you found out that your dad just wasn't a rebound for me at all, and you are having issues with it," you say, as you turn on your heel back towards the driver's side door because you knew that this conversation wasn't going to be going anywhere productive at all.
"Issues? How about you y/n, he's twice your age. And I know him, he's not a committed person. He seems like it but he'll drop you for the next best thing while on tour, I've seen it happen time and time again," Evan warned, as you opened your door and looked back at him.
"Plus, you're the one with the issues, with your weird kinks anyway," he said, as a last jab as he looked at you with a twinge of disgust in his eyes.
Which reminded you about the photo and the other message that he had sent that you had not bothered to respond to.
He had gotten into the nightstand in the master bedroom and took a photo of all the toys that Paul had bought you along with the notes that were attached. So he had more than an inkling about the construct of what your relationship was with Paul.
"Don't kink shame, it doesn't look good on someone that is so boring as to only do missionary. Guess that wasn't something that was passed down," you remarked in a clipped tone as you saw the shocked look on his face before you got into your car and slammed the door behind you.
And yet you could still feel the tears starting to fall at his words. And the look that he had on his face at what you were doing. As if you were supposed to be ashamed of your sexlife. And he was making you feel like you should be ashamed about it.
You drove off in your car, trying to suppress the urge to want to throw your hot coffee in Evan's face. And hit Paul's number in your contacts as you drove around in your car, not wanting to go back to his place just yet. Just listening to your phone ring as it was on speaker phone.
"y/n, what's up? Thought you were going to wait for a call from me? But that's ok,"
"Paul, I need to vent if that's ok," You said, trying to control your voice.
"Yeah babe, go right ahead," he said as you started on about what had transpired over the past hour.

You ended up stopping in another parking lot a few blocks away since you knew that feeling these strong feelings and driving wasn't a good combination as you sat back in the driver's seat.
All you could hear on the other end was breathing and nothing else after you explained everything to him.
"You want me to talk to him? Tell him that our relationship is none of his business? I can also get the locks changed and the gate code changed as well if that makes you feel more comfortable. Because you should be able to go over there without worrying about him showing up," Paul said as you smiled at him jumping to your rescue despite being so far away.
"I'll be fine. We don't need to change anything over. I think he can take the hint that he shouldn't come over. And I don't think he's going to want to for a while after what he saw anyway," you pointed out.
"Ah, they scared him huh? Well good, it takes a real man to realize those are friends in the bedroom not foes," Paul said as you switched your phone over to facetime with him so you could see his face.
From the background you could tell that he was in his hotel room, the generic beige walls were telling. His hair was mushed out of place as he smiled at you sincerely.
"It's good to see your face,"
"Well, it hasn't been that long since you saw it," you pointed out as he winked at you.
"But since we are on the topic, maybe we should talk about those,"
"If they are still at the house. You think he would get rid of them after finding them?" you questioned. That possibility immediately comes up in your head that Evan might do something as rash as that in the moment when he found them.
"He was the one snooping where he shouldn't be. I have a feeling he knew what he was looking for anyway. I'm slightly not surprised, since you said he went to the house. He most definitely was aiming at you still being there. And when you weren't, of course he snooped around. Probably after seeing your clothes there and everything," Paul said matter of factly.
Which you knew their relationship shouldn't be like that. So fragmented that he wouldn't be surprised if his son would just snoop around in his father's bedroom, Let alone knowing that Evan was ashamed and embarrassed of his dad for being in the band that he was in.
"How about I get back home so I can check on everything and then we can talk further about this," you said as you spotted his smirk before he nodded.
"Alright facetime me when you get back. Because I do want to talk to you about how this should work. Or what I had in mind and we can discuss it. And then maybe have a little fun too," he said with a wink before ending the call.
As you let out a shaky breath at how quickly the conversation turned and you found yourself rubbing your thighs together at the smirk that had been on his face when he turned the conversation in the other direction. Making you want to go through all the red lights to get back to the house to facetime him again.
