You drove back to your apartment as fast as you could. You had a feeling as soon as you left Paul's house that he started a timer and would show up at your place as soon as the hour mark hit.
You walked into your apartment, going immediately to your closet and opening it and looking for anything that you would even think would be dinnerware attire, especially with it being a surprise basically.
It did help that he assured you that it wasn't going to be some sex place. Just dinner together.
Which still struck you as odd, but again he made a point of saying that this was going to be more than sex. Which eased your mind since you didn't want to be just around for sex for him. To be a tension reliever for him.
Which also made you second-guess yourself and your intentions. Even though that's what you had always sought out with someone was a relationship. It shouldn't surprise you now that you would be trying to push for that now. Even in this situation, which was interesting. He never said it was just sex. And yet you assumed that and automatically wanted to push for more. And when he said it would be more than that you started second-guessing him.
"I really don't need to be thinking all these thoughts right now, it'll just make me late," you said aloud, as you moved clothing item after clothing item in your closet to the side, trying to remember some of the dresses that you had that could work for tonight. Your hand stopping on one that was towards the end. And pulling it out.
It was a black velvet dress. It would be perfect, since it wasn't too revealing of a dress and the last time you wore it you felt confident as hell. And you were going to need to bring that kind of energy for this date. Since you had no idea where he was taking you.
You ran a brush through your hair, not opting to take a shower since that plus styling your hair would take too much time. Spraying some hairspray into your hair and scrunching it up. Changing into a matching set of underwear since you didn't know how tonight would even be ending. But you wanted to be hopeful about it.
Going through your underwear drawer and grabbing out the matching set that consisted of a burgundy bra and panties. They were the sexiest things. But at least they matched. Which was enough for you as you put them on and then the dress over it. Smoothing the dress over yourself and looking at your reflection in the mirror.
You had another ulterior motive with the dress. Because you knew that wearing this velvet dress could possibly make him want to touch you and never stop. You smiled just thinking about it. And deciding that you should put on mascara and a bit of lipstick, since you frankly didn't think you would have time to do a full-face of makeup.
You put in a pair of earrings and checked the time, putting on your only pair of strappy heels that would go with the dress. As there was a knock on the door. Taking your perfume bottle and spraying it in the air and walking through it and then spraying a bit at your pulse points and rubbing your wrists together as you walking to the front door.
Opening it and being faced with a smirking Paul.
"Your early,"
"Oh, no welcome Mr. Stanley, come in Mr. Stanley. Just a 'your early'. That's nice," he said as he walked into your apartment.
"Wait, you give me an hour and I give you this that took almost the entire hour to do. And you...you I know that you just probably threw that on. That's really not fair to look like that you know," you said following him back into your apartment, as you grabbed your purse and put your keys in it. Trying to not think of how he was looking in his black jacket and black shirt and black jeans.
"Well I have things paired up in my closet. What takes time is usually my hair. But, good to know that I'm good looking to you," he said as he gestured for you to leave first.
