Chapter 4: Shopping And Tanning

Loren's Point Of View.

Shopping in the city that never sleeps is definitely different from the Valley back at home where there's basically one store - a food store.

It's not a minute over 11 a.m. and us girls have already robbed two stores. Okay we didn't rob them, but we totally bought like half of each store. You know the deal with most girls and shopping centers.

If we're suppose to buy one bikini, we buy two or three different ones because we can't decide on just one. Same goes with dresses, tops, short, shoes, you name it..

"Mel, are you sure that black bikini wasn't too.. sexy?" I whisper the word sexy for only Mel's ears to hear.

"No, that's the point Lo.. Eddie will be weak in his knees when he sees you." Melissa smirks.

I just blush as we continue our path towards our limousine and once we are safely seated in it without any interruptions from fans and flashlights, the driver takes of driving towards the beach where we're suppose to meet the guys.

Apparently the guys decided to show up late seeing as it's past 11:30 which was the time we decided to meet at the beach. And we're not speaking a minute, we're speaking 20 long minutes. Not that it matters, because all were doing is tanning anyway.

For your information - if you care - I'm wearing my new metallic black bikini that Mel forced me in to buying. It's totally gorgeous. The top itself is shaped triangle, but still shows of some cleavage, which is why I didn't want to buy it but Mel didn't exactly give me a choice.

"So, how are you and Adam doing Melissa?" Kelly lies on her tummy next to mom.

Laying positions are Kelly on the left with mom on her side, then there's me next to mom and therefor Melissa next to me. In other words Kelly, Nora, me and Melissa.

"That's really nice of you to ask Kelly." Melissa smiles surprised that Kelly is actually being nice towards her. "Adam and I are great. Just taking it one day at a time."

"Good." Kelly muffles in to her green sun chair.

"You're cute together." Mom smiles at Mel.

"Thanks Nora."

"But please Nora, give us some details on you and Max. How is that going?"

Mom shakes her head, a huge smile plastered across her face that she covers with her hands. A few giggles escape her lips and oh boy, you'd think she was the teenager.

"I think her actions speak loud and clearly." I look between Kelly and Mel, shaking my head.

"Since your asking, I might as well tell you all now." Mom finally speaks.

She without question has Kelly sit up from her tanning position, and Melissa and I to sit up as well - our ears wide open to listen.

"Speak woman." Melissa demands.

Mom throws her hands up in defeat, opens her mouth and says, "Max is moving in."

"What?" I nearly choke on my spit in surprise. "When did this happen?" I hug her tightly.

"Way to go Nora." Mel congratulates her in he own special way.

"It was at the night of your concert at MK, right before you called to tell me Eddie was in jail and-"

"You waited all this time to tell me?" I cut her off.

"Are you mad?" Mom gets nervous.

"No, just happy for you." I smile.
