Jisung woke up feeling far too comfortable, the warmth of the blankets wrapped around him in a way that didn't make sense. He blinked his eyes open groggily, taking in his surroundings.

Wait...this isn't the couch.

He shot up, looking around Minho's bed in confusion. How did he get here? He distinctly remembered passing out on the couch after leaving that note for Minho. Unless...

His thoughts were interrupted by a soft thud. Soonie, all hyped up, was trying to scratch him again, pawing at his arm with playful determination. Jisung chuckled, pushing Soonie's little paw away. Not long after, Doongie and Dori appeared, staring up at him with that unmistakable we want food look in their eyes.

"Alright, alright, I get it," Jisung laughed, getting up to feed the cats.

As he moved through the apartment, still shaking off the morning haze, he noticed a plate sitting on the kitchen counter. A neatly prepared breakfast: eggs and K-pancakes, perfectly arranged. A small note stuck beside it.

Minho must've left it for him before heading out to university.

Jisung smiled to himself, feeling something flutter in his chest. He walked over and found the sticky note he'd left for Minho the night before, now with a reply scribbled underneath.

"Don't stay up too late :) You need rest." — M

Jisung ran his fingers over the note, his heart swelling. Minho had made breakfast for him. He even moved him from the couch to the bed. His mind raced through the events, and in the midst of feeding the cats and seeing the plate left for him, a thought struck him.

This feels so...domestic.

The way Minho cared for him, the little things like making sure he was comfortable, cooking breakfast for him—it all felt too affectionate, too comfortable for them to be just friends. Sure, they weren't together, but there was something in the way their lives had started blending together, like they were effortlessly becoming part of each other's routines.

He stood there, taking it all in—the warmth, the food, the cats. The sticky note with Minho's handwriting. Everything felt so natural, like he'd been here for much longer than a few days.

Is this what being in love feels like?

He wasn't sure if Minho felt the same way, but at this point, Jisung didn't care. All he knew was that he wanted Minho by his side—always, no matter what. He wanted to share those moments, the little things that only people closest to each other experienced. Having Minho all to himself felt like a dream he never thought could come true, but now, it was all he could think about. Out of all the dreams Jisung had, if just one could be realized, it would be this: to be with Minho, as a friend or something more, forever.

The thought sent a jolt through him. His pulse quickened, and he bit his lip to stop himself from smiling too wide. He didn't want to admit it yet, not fully. But being here, in Minho's space, surrounded by Minho's quiet care—it made him feel like he didn't want to leave. Like this was exactly where he was supposed to be.

It felt like home.
