Juliette
Then
Juliette woke up the day that Jackson was scheduled to arrive home early, and she went downstairs and ensured that Ida had everything prepared for the dinner that night.

She spent the rest of the morning having breakfast in the morning room. It had become her favorite place to escape to. Juliette loved the quietness of the interior, and when she shut the doors, it was as if she was a mile away.

Juliette went upstairs around noon, and she was feeling major butterflies in the pit of her stomach. Sometimes, she felt so nauseous, and she would run to the bathroom and bend over the commode, only nothing would come up. It was just nerves.

Lily called her around one o'clock in the afternoon and told her that she had just received a call from her husband, Perry, and they were right on track with being there that evening around six o'clock.

Lily sounded delighted for her husband to be returning home from the trip. Juliette wondered why Jackson had not called her. Was he not bothering to do so because he knew that Lily was keeping her up to date on where they were? That was it. It had to be it.
Juliette thanked Lily for keeping her notified, and then she began to run a tub full of hot water and applied lavender bath beads and bubble bath to the water. She stripped out of her emerald, green dressing gown, slowly lowered her slender body into the sudsy water, and let it envelop her up to her neck. Juliette shaved her long legs until they were silky smooth, then rested her head against the tub and closed her eyes.

Juliette nodded off to sleep, and when she woke up, she realized she was immersed in chilly water. She shivered not just from the cold but from a nightmare that she had been having. In the nightmare, Jackson had been chasing her through the mansion, and he was not running after her but taking his sweet time. Juliette was running from him, but in the dream, she knew that she could not hide from him. In the dream, he was able to see where she had hidden. She had crawled under a bed and held her breath. She saw his footsteps approach the bed and held her hand over her mouth to stifle any sound she could make.
"Juliette?" Jackson had asked in a sinister tone, and Juliette had gasped aloud. "I know that you are in here," he said in a low, dangerous tone, and then suddenly, her ankles were grasped, and she was yanked out from under the bed by Jackson's hands.

Juliette woke up suddenly, and she slid down into the water. It covered her head, and she gasped as water filled her mouth. She sputtered and hit the sides of the porcelain tub. Juliette gathered her strength and pulled herself up. The bathroom had grown shadowed by the changing position of the afternoon sun in the sky.

She hurriedly stood up with trembling legs and grabbed the white plush towel off the side of the tub. The ends were soaked from the water splashing up the sides, and Juliette took it and wrapped it around her body.

She stepped out of the tub onto the cold marble floor and grabbed her dressing gown from the chair where she had tossed it before getting in the tub.

The nightmare disturbed her as she dried off her body and hair and wore the dressing gown. She cinched it around her tiny waist and breathed deeply. Jackson was obviously in her thoughts, and that is why she had the nightmare; that was all. Jackson was not going to try to hurt her. She would never have to run for her life... from her husband.

Juliette took off the dressing gown. The robe was damp, and she let it fall to the floor in a green heap of satin and lace. She lay on the bed gloriously naked and stretched her arms above her head like a seductive feline. Juliette ran her hands easily, over her full round breasts and down to her flat belly. Hopefully, after tonight, she and Jackson would conceive a child, and her flat tummy would begin to swell with life in a few short months. She let her hands travel down to the apex of her legs and opened them. She felt the room's cool air caress her vagina, leaned her head back, and closed her eyes.
