Koneko ran up to Izuku who was looking at the ground, his hair shadowing over his eyes.

Koneko: Izuku! Are... are you ok?

Izuku: ...Yeah. I'm fine.

His voice said otherwise. It seemed void of emotion.

Koneko: You're lying.

Izuku: No. I'm not. I'm perfectly fine.

Koneko sighs and sits beside him.

Koneko: Stop lying.

Izuku: I told you. I'm not lying.

Koneko: Please, Izuku. I just want to help. What happened in your past.

Izuku: ...

Koneko: I know you're not fine. There's no point in lying to me. But you won't feel better without talking to me. So please.

Izuku: ...Fine. I'll tell you.

Izuku: As you already know, I was given my quirk by someone else. Before that, I was Quirkless. So I didn't have any powers. That might be a normal thing for the humans in your world, but it's much different in my world. Being Quirkless, I was immediately labeled an outcast and a target.

Koneko grew more concerned.

Izuku: It started when my childhood best friend started to bully me for wanting to become a hero. My elementary school teachers tried to cheer me up, but it never really worked. Once day, Kacchan, me, and some of his friends went through a forest and he fell off a log and into a ravine. I tried to help him up, but he thought that I was thinking of him as weak and his bullying got worse.

Koneko: What?! That's just-

Izuku: Please. Just let me talk before I change my mind.

Koneko: Sorry.

Izuku: He started to use his quirk, Explosion on me a lot. It gave me burn scars and, not wanting to worry my mom, I hid my scars from her. My dad was forced to work overseas, so he wasn't around to help me. And no, he did not abandon me.

Koneko nodded.

Izuku: The only girl that ever really spoke with me in a nice way was my mother. Other girls did talk to me... but it was only to either make fun of me, or prank me with fake love letters. I guess I should've seen that coming though. What kind of girl would like a guy like me?

Koneko: '...I guess that explains why he was freaking out while he was holding me. Not that good of experience with girls his age back then.'

Izuku: Most people I met didn't treat me much different. Since I was Quirkless, I was faced with discrimination by almost everyone. The last civilian I met who was nice to me back when I was Quirkless was this guy who had a quirk that gave him small stars on his head.
