Izuku and Ricky were facing one side while Rowlet was facing the other.
Izuku: Ready Ricky?
Ricky: Just tell me what to do, Seigi.
Rowlet: Let's get this started!
Rowlet then suddenly sent a column of leaves at Ricky.
Izuku: Quick! Dodge it!
Ricky dodged the attack just barely.
Ricky: I wasn't expecting this Rowlet to know Grass Pledge!
Izuku: Go after Rowlet and use Blaze Kick!
Ricky rushes at Rowlet and jumps at him with his leg ignited. But Rowlet acted fast and flew up to avoid the attack and slammed his wings down on Ricky twice.
Rowlet: Dual Wingbeat!
Ricky: Gah!
Ricky was sent down to the ground.
Rowlet: Time for a Shadow claw!
Rowlet started to rush down to the ground as his talon became a shadow claw.
Izuku: Ricky! Use Aura Sphere! Now!
Ricky turned to face Rowlet and shot out an Aura sphere that hit Rowlet dead on. Rowlet was falling to the ground.
Izuku: Now's your chance! Use Poison Jab!
Ricky ran up to Rowlet with Poison Jab at the ready. But as he was about to hit Rowlet, it blocked the Poison Jab using Steel Wing.
Ricky: Crud!
Rowlet: Dual Wingbeat!
With two winged slaps, Ricky was sent flying back to Izuku.
Ricky: Dang it. If only I could use One For Aura without the recoil.
Izuku: Quick question Ricky. What do you do when you're about to use One For Aura?
Ricky: What do you mean?
Izuku: What are you thinking about when you use it? And visualizations?
Ricky: No.
Izuku: That's the problem. When I use One For All, I visualize an image in my head. To keep myself from using it at full power. That allows me to use it without breaking my bones.
Ricky: I see. So like... when you anger a Voltorb and it gets ready to explode?
Izuku: I... guess? But there's more to it than that. Don't use it on a single part of your body only at the times you need it. Spread it out around your body at the percentage you can handle and keep it like that until the battle is over. This way, not only does your strength increase, but your speed increases as well!
Ricky: Spread it out around my body? Good idea! Here goes!
Ricky started to spread One For Aura around his body as Aura started leaking out, reducing his power.
Rowlet: Well, that's new.
Izuku: That's it, Ricky! What do you plan on calling this technique?
Ricky: Hmm... I don't know. I'll figure it out later. What now?
Izuku: How much power are you using?
Ricky: 10%. Anymore and I feel like that's too much.
Izuku: Then give Rowlet a taste of your moves! I don't know your One For Aura moves so I want you to show me.
Ricky: You got it, Seigi! Here goes!
Ricky rushes at Rowlet at incredible speed.
Rowlet: What the heck?! How'd he get so fast?!
Ricky then appeared from behind him.
Ricky: Sinnoh Strike!
Ricky punched Rowlet with a lot of strength. He was then sent flying back. Rowlet ended up crashing into a tree.
Izuku: Good job, Ricky! But remember, don't just use your fists. You have legs to help you fight. Use them.
Ricky: Right!
Rowlet sent out another Grass Pledge at Ricky. Luckily, he managed to dodge it and jumped above Rowlet.
Ricky: Kalos Strike!

Rowlet's face was met with Ricky's foot and was sent straight down to the ground. Rowlet could barely get up and narrowly avoided another attack from Ricky. But he was still right in front of him.
Ricky: Hoenn Strike!

Rowlet was barely able to hang on because it had a focus sash with it from its... previous trainer.
Birch: Izuku! Now's your chance! Throw your Pokéball at Rowlet and catch it!
Izuku got out one of his Pokéballs and threw it at Rowlet. Rowlet was then sucked in as the Pokéball shook three times before it clicked.
Birch: You caught it!
Ricky: You did it, Seigi!
Izuku: No. WE did it. I couldn't have done it without you, Ricky.
Birch: Good job, you two. I'm very impressed. Do you plan on giving him a name?
Izuku thought for a second until he finally decided.
Izuku: Archie.
Ricky: I like it. Welcome aboard, Archie.
Izuku: Thank you for your help Professor Birch.
Birch: It's no problem. Now, my advice as of right now is to go to the nearest Pokémon center to register for the League. Nurse Joy will tell you where to go from there.
Izuku: You got it. Thanks.
And with that, Izuku and Ricky left and went to the Pokémon Center.
