Running in the halls to get to my first period class, the struggle to keep my papers from flying out of my book bag. You know when they say studying before the day of the test is so much easier than studying way ahead. Well I'm never doing that again, look where it got me now. One minute I was studying, the next minute i'm sleeping but not on my bed. I even missed my bus and my parents weren't home to drop me off to school. So I ran all the way here. I'm surprised I didn't faint by now. Heh!

With me stopping in front of my English class, I opened the door to see all my classmates looking in my direction. I hate when this happens, like why can't you look at the teacher instead of me. Making my way to my seat, I hear my friend Lisa laughing right next to me. "Not again Malia, what was it this time" she lifted her brows. Okay i admit being late is sometimes an everyday thing but i have many excuses why. One i have to fix this perfect hair of mine, these curls can't fix themselves unless they're in braids. Two, I need more sleep. "I was studying and I fell asleep," I replied. Lisa rolled her eyes playfully and turned her attention back to board.

The classes I have at the beginning of the day make me want to go back home. I mean this day has already been rough for me. Maybe it was a sign for me to stay home? Who knows. Making my way to my locker, I grab my chips and lunch from jessie's diner. A place I can be at forever and no can stop me from going. The owner, Jessie, loves to make me small meals for lunch or when I go to the diner. It's my safe place and makes me feel welcome. I just wish school was the same for me. I only have one friend and that's Lisa. Don't get me wrong I love her but she has other friends and I guess I feel alone when she's not here. I tried to be friends with her other friends but it was too awkward.

The lunch room was  packed as always, Bunch of seniors and juniors. My destination in the lunchroom is all the way to the back. You can't hear anything at all. It's the best thing about it so far. I placed my things on the table and sorted how I wanted to set it up. The great smell of stew chicken and white rice hit me. I'm going to devour this all in one second, I know that for sure. As the spoon reached my mouth, I felt the table shake by a group of friends sitting down and laughing. Now I've been here for so long, I never saw them before or definitely in this cafe. Scanning each and one of them, I must say they are quite hot.

As they talked and laughed, one of them looked my way and tilted his head. Was I looking at them too much? I mean I kept glancing, now they're all looking my way great!

"Guys we have someone else here!" the one with glasses said to them. Did they not see me when they made they're way over here? "Who are you, never saw you before" he continued. The rest of them just looked at me like I was the first they saw on earth. "I'm Malia, A senior here and i must say i never saw you guys before either" i mumbled that part out for sure. "Cool," he said with a smile on face . Okay..

I noticed that everyone was looking our way, even Lisa. She had a weird expression on her face that I can't point out. What's with everyone?

"See Alex, I told you it was a bad idea to come in the lunchroom today, now everyone is staring" the boy with an undercut and piercings said. I wonder why but being here at this school isn't easy.
