For the past few weeks, everything was going well. I was here in Jesse's writing in my journal about everything that happened to me and how it's changing the way I used to live life. I bet my parents are surprised with the way I'm almost never home, which makes me glad that they don't have to worry about me anymore.

As I'm writing, Jesse made her way towards me with my strawberry milkshake in her hand. She smiled at me, peeking at what I was doing.

"No friends today? usually yall in here almost everyday now," she chuckled. She was right; we cherished this place as our own; we love it here honestly. "Yeah, but this time I'm here solo," I said, looking at the book in front of me. For some time, Jesse stood there looking at me and my journal. I couldn't tell what she was thinking. "You know I'm happy that you are friends with my Nephew and his friends," she started. I looked up at her, curious about what she was going to say. "I remember you having a hard time trusting anyone after the incident in your old school, but I'm so happy you grew from it. Horrible pasts are good lessons to grow from, and we can't let it affect us." she addressed.

Gathering what she said, I realize she was right about everything. I looked up at her again and smiled. "Thank you, Jesse," as I got up and hugged her.

The rest of the day hasn't come to an end yet; I made my way to the mall for my self-day journey. I haven't been to the mall in a while, and I really needed some new albums for my room. Once I entered the mall, everyone was moving all at once, going from store to store. The smell from the food area hit me as well; I know Leon would've run over there.

Making my way to the album section in Target, I immediately saw the SOS album by SZA. It was the last one too; this has to be my lucky day. I searched for this album all the time whenever I'm in this store, but it's sold out each time. My excitement took over once I jumped up and down in the aisle. even though it's weird to do this in public, but my dreams finally came true with me having this album.

I looked over for another album, which was the LE sserafim album. Crazy is my top song right now. The girl groups this year are winning my heart, and I love it. All I do is dance to their songs; it's addicting.

As I continued my search for albums, I bumped into a person with bags that dropped on the floor. Being the person I am, I immediately picked up the bags and gave them to the person I bumped into. "Malia," the person said. I didn't recognize the voice and certainly didn't know how they knew my name. I looked up at the person, and my eyes were wide open. "Jade?" I questioned. She nodded her with a smile. She was always nice to me, not caring about the situation with Alicia. Others would be scared to talk to me and thought if they did, Alicia would target them as well.

"It's nice to see you; I always wanted to see how you were doing, but your number changed," she stated. I scratched the back of my head when she said that; I had to change it. "Sorry, I just a lot of things were going on, and I just wanted space from it," I apologized. Jade shook her head, coming up to me and saying it wasn't my fault. "No, I get it. How's your new school?" she questioned. I explained everything to her; she was willing to listen.

We talked for a while and walked around the mall until her mom called and said it was time to go. "Hey, take my number down, and we will keep in touch," she confirmed in a hurry to meet her mom. I smiled while watching her rush through the mall.

The day went by so fast that it was nighttime already. I took this time to head over to the abandoned park. Sitting down on this bench, I enjoy the fresh breeze coming my way. I thought about the stuff Jessica said earlier, and the fact I saw Jade today proved everything. The past will show up again, but at least I'm doing way better.

"HEY LIA!" Kira yelled out with our friends behind her. I look at each one of them with a smile. "We looked everywhere for you; where's your phone?" Theo questioned. I took my phone out of my bag and looked at the notifications from the group chat. "We even went to your house; your parents said you were out," Ashley added. My heart felt warm when I noticed the concern from them.

"Yeah, you had Theo over here worried." Leon chuckled. Theo glared at the boy and nudged him to shut up. "Stop you were, don't deny it," Leon continued. The two boys were arguing. Kira rolled her eyes at the two and turned her attention to me. "Anyways, are you okay?" she asked. I nodded my head and showed her what I was doing today.

We sat down on the ground in a circle, chatting about what we did today. Noah was at a bar for a gig, Kira was painting a new piece for school, Ashley was fixing up her, and the rest of the boys were chilling at Alex House. "I won three times in Mario Kart; these two are trash," Leon chatted. All of us laughed when Theo and Alex threw leaves at him.

"Sometimes I wonder if things would be different if we hadn't met," Alex started. Everyone got quiet once Alex brought it up. "I mean, would my brother still be here if he hadn't joined the football team?" he continued looking down at the floor. I honestly felt Alex on this one. Could our lives be different right now? maybe different versions of ourselves.

"The things that happen to us always happen for a reason," Ashley said to him. We all nodded our heads, agreeing with the girl. "Yeah, a wise person told me that earlier," I agreed with Ashley, looking back at what Jesse said. "I was the wise person," Leon stated. I rolled my eyes at his silliness.

"No, you weren't," I said.

On my way home, Theo suggested walking me through the neighborhood. He claimed that me walking by myself is pretty dangerous for me. I didn't mind the company anyway.

"Is your neighborhood always quiet like this?" he asked. I chuckled; I never realized that until now. "I think so; if anything, I'd be in my room not hearing anything," I stated. Theo nodded while looking at the street lights. "Are you okay?" I asked him. For a second, he was quiet, not responding to what I said to him.

"Would you like to hang out with me?" he asked. What is he saying? We hang out all the time.

"We do it all the time," I told him. He huffed, scratching the back of his head.

"I mean, do you want to go on a date with me?" he asked again. I was stunned with the question; I had never been asked out before. "You don't have to, I mean," I cut him off with my finger on his lip. "Sure, why not?" I smiled. I took my finger off his lip, and he smiled directly at me. "Just text me the date and what should I wear," I confirmed, walking up the steps to my house. Theo nodded and started walking away, cheesing.

Taking my keys out, I looked down at the floor and saw a tiny note by the door. I picked it up and opened it.

The words "Everything will come to light eventually" were written. I looked around my surroundings, wondering where the note came from.
