CEDRIC
'Ced, she's only 14, don't get the wrong idea'
We're back at the Hufflepuff common room and Eva's going on about how it'd be wrong to try to get to know Y/N in more than just a big brotherly way.
'She's 15 soon, and I only just turned 17, that's only two years Eva. And I didn't even say I wanted to be more than friends with her', I'm trying to convince them it's true, shouldn't be too hard, only I just met the girl... The very pretty, very perfect girl.
'No you didn't, but we know you Cedric, your eyes don't lie', Luke chimes in, proving further that I'm not convincing anyone.
'I'll just let it go how it is, alright? I won't show any interest in her... In that way', I look at my now silent friends, who are all giving me untrusting looks.
'Really?', that's Eva again, sounding less unimpressed than a second ago.
'Yeah. But if she shows interest in me first, that's not my problem'
Eva let's out a huff, 'fine, but don't forget what happened last time you got with a girl', ugh, the fact she even brought that up makes me feel sick.
'Don't even', I joke, and give her a shove.
'Where is she anyways?', Toby asks looking around the common room to make sure we hadn't missed her come in. She'd left The Great Hall really soon after we got dismissed.
'Probably unpacking', Azar suggests while pushing his brown hair off his forehead.
Y/N
As soon as we were dismissed from the welcoming assembly I went to find Theo. I'm hoping he'll let me crash with him for a bit before lunch, then maybe help me unpack later. He's in the same dorm as last year, sharing with Enzo again. He wrote down his door number and the Slytherin chambers so I can get to their dorms and common room if I ever need to. He said the Slytherins won't mind too much because they'll know I'm his sister, worst that'll happen is I'll get a few stares. I'm guessing the fact that I was also nearly placed in Slytherin might help a bit too.
'Ah, shit, sorry', I trip into someone while hurrying towards the Slytherin chambers. 'Oh, it's just you', Draco, that is.
'Yep, just me'
'No Astoria close by on a lead?', I shoot him a smile
'No, I let her off', he laughs
When I'm done giggling at his joke, I decide it's a good time to apologise for earlier. 'Sorry about earlier'
'Earlier? What the fact you're not in Slytherin.. or?'
'Oh nah, not sorry about that'
'Oh'
'About on the train, when I said you probably put a spell on the chocolate frog you got me'
'Ohh. No biggy, didn't take it to heart'
'Okay, I'm glad', that fact that he didn't think much of it puts my mind at ease a little.
'I wouldn't do that anyways...', he glance at me before continuing to walk along side me towards the Slytherin common room. '...your brother would beat the shit outta me.'
'Yeah, he would', I laugh at his truthfulness.
We reach the common room and Draco stops to look at me for a second. He takes a breath before asking if I'm coming in too.
'yeah, thanks', I follow him into a large dimly lit room with tall jagged stone pillars and moss green couches; one of which is occupied by my brother and friends.
'Hey, good job on your sorting Y/NM', Theo smiles up at me as I take a seat beside him.
'Good job? I didn't really do much'
'Yeah, but we're still proud of you', Enzo adds
'We? Who is we, because I couldn't care less', Astoria snorts to herself and continues talking when she realises no one else was laughing with her. 'What? Why would I be proud of a girl I don't care about about being sorted into a house that's not mine?'
Theo shoots her a look, 'Because "that girl" is my sister, and the rest of us are allowed to congratulate her no matter what house she's in'
'Don't worry Astoria, I'm quite happy I'm not in Slytherin. I can't imagine spending my time in this room, can't say it's really my style. Especially with you here', I smile as pretty as I can straight at Astoria and she looks very unpleased.
'I saw Diggory called you over', before Astoria can get another word in, Blaise changes the topic to something much less politic. Or so I thought.
'Yeah, he seems nice'
'Just be careful Y/NM, I've heard he's not always that good of a person', Enzo chimes in, followed by Blaise again.
'Yeah, especially to girls'
I shoot Blaise a confused look. 'What do you mean?'
Blaise looks to Theo, almost like he's looking for permission. 'His last girlfriend and him were in a pretty toxic relationship, we've just heard some nasty things'
'Girlfriend? Thanks guys, but I think you're overreacting. I've only just met the guy, I'm not planning of being wifed up by him anytime soon', I laugh but the boys keep their straight faces.
'They're being serious Y/N, just be careful', Theo looks back at me with a stern look.
I realise that the conversation won't be over until I agree with them, 'Right, thanks'.
