Y/N

On the way back from lunch Eva offered to show me to my dorm room in the Hufflepuff chambers. I really like Eva, I can see her becoming the older sister I never had. She talks so freely about what's happening in her life. I now know all about her holiday flings, how her and the rest of their group met, why she's the only girl, all about her family, the way her hairstylist got the colour combo wrong when dying her hair, where she went in the muggle world over the holidays, her favourite number, colour, ice cream flavour, season and time to wake up in the morning. It's weird, she doesn't talk too much, but still somehow she manages to spill facts about herself out left right and centre. It's not like she's boastful or self centred either, honestly I'd say she's pretty humble, fitting for Hufflepuff, but it's really relaxing having someone talk to me like they already know me.

I'm not so good at talking about myself, never really been the talkative type. I can put on a good social facade, but no one really gets to know me until they KNOW me. I told Eva a bit about myself, the shallow stuff I suppose you could call it, but none of the nity grity, deep bits that no one really needs to know about. When she asked about why I transferred here so late in my wizarding school life, I told her there were some family changes over the last 6 months and it was easier for me to go here with Theo instead. I guess not a total lie, just not the total truth either.

Eva opened the door to the Hufflepuff common room; it's full of plants and yellow furniture bathed in sun rays coming in from the mid day heat. It's two levels, with huge skylights lining the top level, there's a fire place and cozy nooks scattered around the lower floor.

'Woahh', I let myself show the slightest bit of awe, at least what's not already plastered on my face.

'Pretty nice huh?', I look to my left and there's Toby sitting on one of the couches with a girl, presumably his girlfriend.

'Yeah, you could say that', I giggle at him, trying not to come off as flirty while the girl on the couch is watching his every move. I peer round him to look at the girl; I wave and shoot her a sweet smile. She returns it before Toby draws my attention to him again.

'That's Monica, I think you'd really like her, I'll introduce you sometime'

'Girlfriend?', I watch as Toby holds back a grin. I catch Eva smirking to herself as a reaction to my question, looking back to Toby I notice he's began to blush. 'Not a girlfriend?', I ask.

'The question of the ages', Eva adds.

'We're talking, haven't made anything offical yet', Toby looks back at Monica, still red in the face.

'Ooohh right, right, okay', I say while Eva takes my hand to pull me towards the dorms. I wave as Toby walks back to Monica, they both wave back.

'This way's the girls dorms, just down there is the boys' dorms', Eva points down the hall towards the boys' hallway before walking down ours.

We find my dorm number and walk inside. Eva's raise up, causing her forehead to wrinkle before laughing her next sentence, 'How'd you manage a dorm all to yourself?'

'Uh, Dumbledore said there was an odd number of girls this year, so I guess I got lucky'

Eva smirks, 'Yeah the boys will LOVE you more than they already do. Plus, you could probably sell your room out for one night stands too'

Now I'm the one with a wrinkled forehead, 'Sell my dorm out? I can do that?'

'Yeah, people do', she looks around and walks over to my bed. 'You like it here?'

'Yeah, I think I do', this is definitely more my speed than the Slytherin chambers. I'm not sure what their dorms look like, but if it's anything similar to their common room, I'm glad I'm not living there. My rooms huge, made for at least two people. There's two double beds, two desks, two closets, one bathroom with a shower, bath, sink and toilet, and my favourite feature of all, a huge window with a window seat.
