Y/N

Today's Theo's 15th birthday. Well his, and mine too. It's Sunday, which is perfect because it means I get to spend the entire day with friends and not sit through boring classes. I got dressed in my favourite jeans and a light yellow colour silk tank top. I'll probably be too cold since it's nearly Christmas.

Before I leave for breakfast I grab Theo's present. It's just a duplicate of the picture Grandma took of myself, Dad and Theo by the train at the start of the school year, but I think he'll like it. I used the Duplicato charm that I learnt last year and it seemed to work out just fine. I wrote him a card as well, thanking him for everything he does for me and telling him I appreciate how much he's been there for me in the last year with everything that's happened. On my to the door I notice an envelope slid underneath. It's heavy and on the front it says 'sexy legs'. Wonder who this could be from, definitely wouldn't place my bets on Mattheo, not. I open the letter and pull out a piece of paper that looks like it's been ripped from a diary.

On it, it reads: Heard you're going to Diagon Alley later. Treat yourself. -M.

Left in the envelope is six galleons, enough to buy a nice new shirt, or a heck ton of lollies. I smile and tuck it into the back pocket of my jeans.

On my way to The Great Hall people stop and to tell me Happy Birthday. I don't even know half of them so I suppose they know it's Theo's birthday, and know I'm his twin.

When I get to the doors of the hall Theo and Enzo are waiting just outside. I give them both a hug, say happy birthday to Theo, and thank them both when they return the saying.

'I got you this', I hand Theo the wrapped photo frame and card.

'Thanks', he smiles and reaches into his back pocket, 'I got you something too.'

'Same here', Enzo mirrors Theo's movements, reaching into his back pocket, 'it's only little but.'

'Thank you, the both of you. You didn't have to', I smile and nod to the gift in Theo's hand, 'You go first.'

He opens the card and must see the paragraphs of quilled out writing inside before closing it a second later, 'Thanks Y/NM, I'll read your essay later', he laughs and I know he's genuine when he said he'll read it. He unwraps the present and smiles down at the framed photo. 'I love it, thank you.'

'Your turn', Enzo smiles, 'Open mine first, it's from Soph too.'

I unwrap the small square shaped present to find what looks like a super compact towel, I chuckle and look to Enzo, 'What is it?'

'It's an expandable towel- ', his eyes are glowing with excitement, '- It's from the Muggle world. You put it in water and it grows into a normal sized towel.'

'Oh that's so cool', It sounds crazy weird, I can't wait to test it out later.

'It has a custom message from us on it too', Enzo smirks and I know whatever's written on it's going to be a cracker.

I giggle, 'Thanks, I really appreciate it.' I begin to lift the top off what looks like an old jewellery box, Theo's gift to me. Inside is an all too familiar heart shaped locket. I look up to Theo's grin, blinking back tears, 'It's Mum's', I say.

'It's Mum's', Theo repeats in a low voice.

On my way to the Hufflepuff table I have more and more birthday wishes shouted out to me. It feel weird to be known. At Beauxbatons everyone knew everyone, but it was a completely different feel from here, it was like a sisterhood, not just people.

I take my normal seat next to Cedric, along with Eva, Azar, Toby and Luke. They all wish me a happy birthday and Eva hands me a neatly printed ticket shaped piece of paper.

'What's this', I giggle.

'Just read it', Eva smiles ear to ear while reading the ticket with me.

It prints: COUPON. Free drinks on me next common room party.

I laugh and smile up at her. 'Thanks, this is great.'

Cedric says that he has something for me too. He pulls off his cream coloured hoodie and hands it to me. 'For you', he's smiling when he whispers in my ear, 'Check the pocket later on.'

I squeeze his hand under the table and begin eating breakfast. Mid way through my meal two owls fly into the room, it's an odd time for them to arrive, so I figure they'll end up flying to myself and Theo. I watch a white owl drop two presents off in front of Theo just before a brown owl drops two off in front of me. Theo turns around a waves his presents at me from across the room; I pick mine up and do the same. One of his is the same shape as mine, and one of them different. When reading the labels I learn that the present that's the same shape as Theo's is from Dad. It's a thin box about the length of a small quill.  The other present is from Grandma, and a different shape to Theo's. I put the presents aside so I can open them later.

The rest of breakfast flies by and before I know I'm back in my dorm. I open up the present from Dad first. Inside there's a homemade coupon, it looks similar to Eva's, except in Dad's hand writing. On it reads: "New wand from Ollivanders" in big front and "All prepaid, I love you lots xx Dad" in small font down the bottom. I'm guessing Theo would've gotten the same thing, and we'll make a stop their at Diagon Alley this afternoon. I open the next present, it's a book called 'The Magpie Society', and is obviously a Muggle book. Grandma has always had a thing for Muggle books and it seems she's passed the trait on to me, because once I start reading, it's hard to get me to stop.

As I'm filling up my sink to expand out the compact towel from Sophia and Enzo I suddenly remember Cedric saying there's something else in the pocket of his jumper. I plug the sink and leave the water running while I go back my bed to where I left it. I reach inside the pocket and pull out a small packet. A condom. I pull of the sticky note on top of it and read it as I walk back to the bathroom. "For whenever you're ready ;)" I'm not super sure what to think of it, so I put it to the side and carry on with the towel. I sit up next to the sink so I'm not facing the mirror and watch as the towel expands. It's only small still, the size of a wash cloth and in bright yellow writing it say "trust your GUT". I laugh at the saying, which takes me back to last holidays while Theo and I stayed with the Birkshires. I got food poisoning when I insisted that some four day old food would still be okay to eat. Turn out it wasn't and my gut was not having one bit of it. I was vomiting for days and Sophia kept joking about the phase and it just seemed to catch on.

By the time I'm done reminiscing the not so great memory, and have drained the water from the sink, I hear a knock on the door. I walk out of the bathroom and open the door to find Theo dressed ready for Diagon Alley. He has on the same jeans and sweater from this morning, but is now accessorised with what looks like a new watch, a black flat snapback cap and a worn through brown leather jacket.

'Figured we could leave on the early train and go to Ollivanders before afternoon tea', he waltzes into my room. He must've assumed I got the same present from dad. He was right.

'Yeah sounds good, let me just get a jacket', I walk over to my bed to pick up Cedric's jumper before I get interrupted by Theo.

'You're not wearing that out', he's stood with his arms crossed.

'Why', I turn to face him and match his stance.

'Thought you were supposed to be a secret', heck. He's got me there.

'Oh, right', I take another glance at the hoodie than walk over to my wardrobe to grab my favourite Muggle brand 'Carhartt', jacket instead.
