Eva and Y/N went back to the Hufflepuff chambers after lunch to start setting up Y/N's dorm. Azar, Luke and I went off to finish catching up with mates we didn't see of the holiday. Ravenclaw is hosting a party tonight before the offical start of school on Monday and we decided to stay around and help set up a little. Cho and Marietta are the main coordinators of the not so little get together tonight, and we figured they'd need a hand.
Azar insists that Cho's been showing interest in me, but I really don't see it. I think she's just outgoing. We make small talk with the girls while hanging up streamers and balloons. Marietta and Luke move to the south side of the common room to set up beer pong tables and the makeshift drinks bar with plastic blue cups. The 'party rule' we go by here is your group's let in if you bring a bottle to share, so by tonight that table will be piled with alcohol.
Cho, Azar and I talk about the Quidditch World Cup attack that happened in the holidays. Azar and I both play, and Cho's dad is a pretty big enthusiast. We talk about how bad the attack was before the convo naturally changes into how our Christmas was and what we got up to on the holidays. Once everything's pretty much set up the boys and I head back to the Hufflepuff common room.
'You putting your name in the Goblet of Fire Ced?', Luke asks me as we walk along the corridors.
'Yeah, I was planning on it. You?', I look back to Luke.
'Yeah, only chance to so may as well', he looks around me to Azar. 'And you?'
Azar nods yes to Luke, but I already knew he was planning on it. We talked about it on the holidays when I stayed round his house. His dad competed years ago and was telling us all the stories and trials he went trough. 'My dad was in it.'
'Mmm', Luke hums in response as we open the door to the common room. Azar nods towards Toby and his new lady friend he's sitting with on the couch; he mentioned earlier that they'd be talking over the holidays. Luke sends us a wink before marching over to Toby, most likely going over to try and embarrass him. I look toward Azar, and he's looking up at his older brother sitting with his mates on the upstairs level.
'You caught up with them yet?', I ask, his attention focusing on me now.
'Nah, not yet', he looks back up at them, obviously jumping out of his skin to hear about what they've got up to recently.
'Go catch up with them all', I begin walking away and send him a look toward where they're standing. Azar makes his way toward the staircase and lifts his hand in goodbye. Azar's older brother is in year seven. Him and come of his friends are putting their names in the Goblet of Fire as well, I'm sure Azar's wanting to find out about who exactly is. And if not that, he's probably trying to get gossip about what girls they hooked up with on the break, or at least who they're planning on trying to get with this year.
I begin walking towards the dorms, planning on getting a few of my new clothes into their draws, when I glance down the girls hallway and see Eva walking towards her dorm. She has her eyes glued to her new muggle phone and doesn't see me. I wait for a second as she unlocks her door and walks inside. Y/N must be alone in her dorm now, I'm guessing Eva must have helped her set some stuff up already. Knowing Eva's already on her phone I send her a quick message.
"What's Y/N's dorm number?"
"y?", dry ass response, classic Eva.
"Just wanted to pop by"
"it's 119. her brothers coming soon, dont get any ideas diggorgy"
"i wasn't"
As I walk towards 119 I start to think of what I'll say when I reach her dorm. She's right down the end of the hallway, and I'm not sure I've even been that far down the girls' side before. I decide that will be the first talking point when I see her. Easy, and will sound natural. I'm not sure what I'll say when her brother shows up though, can't say we're really best of friends. I'm hoping I'll be out before he comes anyways. I'll say a quick dorm-warming and then be on my way.
I knock on the door and Y/N answers almost straight away. She looks stunning and I stare at her for a second before speaking, 'You waiting by the door for me or something?', I chuckle as she lets me inside her room.

The door knocks and I open it as soon as I hear it. 'You waiting by the door for me or something?', he chuckles, Cedric that is.
I let him inside as I speak, 'Something like that. I'm expecting Theo.'
'Ah, right', he looks around the dorm for a second before speaking again. 'You have this all to yourself?', he's smirking, flirting again? I'll have to ask Eva later is he actually is, or if that's just his personality.
'Yeah, I'm pretty lucky', I laugh, realising I'm still stood awkwardly by the door, and start to walk over to my bed.
'I don't think I've ever been this far down the girls hall', he smiles at me, his conversation flowing so naturally. 'You're like all the way down the end'.
'Guess Dumbledore thought I need to get more steps in', I giggle as he comes over and sits next to me on my bed laughing and flashing his handsome smile of his.
'I doubt that, you look insanely fit', he leans back on his elbows and I watch as he does. 'You need help putting anything else away?'
I think for a second, I know I need to put my suitcase on top of my wardrobe, but I was planning on Theo doing that when he came, I'm pretty sure he's taller than Cedric anyways, even though he's two years younger. 'Umm, not really, thanks though.'
'Eva must've got you pretty set then?'
'Yeah, she was a great help', I smile at him and he smiles back. 'Oh! Wait, there actually is something you can help me with'. I try to think of something for him to help me with while I get off my bed, trying to keep the conversation going just as well as he has been. 'The shower's different here than to at home or Beauxbatons, I dunno which ones hot and cold, or which way they turn on, or how far to turn them on, or-'
Cedric interrupts me, following me to the bathroom. 'Don't worry I'll show you, they're the same as the boys' bathrooms.'
'You would know wouldn't you?', I give him a cheesy wink and he laughs.
'I'm not that bad of a person Y/N', he leans into the shower and points out how they work here. He finishes up explaining and says he should go before my brother gets here, apparently they're not on the best of terms. I wave him goodbye and watch from my door as he walks down the boys hall. It's perfect timing too because just as I watch him disappear I see Theo walk into the hall with Enzo in tow. I wave them down and they make their way down the hallway.
