When will I have love?
The ones that the pretty little songs love to swoon over
I find it impossible to find the real deal
Like the ones from the books of endless dances
Movies of letter writing and poem readings
It's a drag not knowing when someone will dip me and tell me "why you look beautiful tonight"
Tell me a story of forever love
Where I can't recognize the smile in the mirror
Will I be the cheer on someone's day?
Their prayer on a Sunday morning?
Grab my hand and run with me to my surprise
Surprise of a knee and a "I Love You"
Perhaps Love isn't what God has in store for me
But to know what he has makes me all the more eager.
