"I swear Scar, Kai likes you" Vanna said as she was walking after me in the paddock. "Who's Kai?"

She let out a little sigh. "Alix's engineer"

Oh right, the one that said we were the enemy.

"No Vanna, he doesn't like me and I don't like him and besides, I am not looking for a relationship"

A lie, because I would love to fall in love with someone. I would love to care for someone, equally as much as they cared about me.

But Kai wasn't that person. I wasn't that desperate.

"Anyways, tell Alix good luck, she will need it if she wants to beat Lando-"

"Oh she definitely won't beat him" Max, Lando's best friend, chuckled as he walked passed me. He looked back at me, telling me to follow him, so that's what I did.

"Where's Lando?" I asked. "Already in the hospitality, he's nervous"

He really wanted to beat Alix.

"They have such a weird relationship, don't they?" I laughed a little. Maybe I was nervous as well.

"They don't have a relationship at all anymore" Max said. "She wants to destroy him and he wants to beat her"

Lando walked out of his driver's room in that moment, his racing suit hanging down his waist, his bottle of water in his hand.

He looked at me, looked away but immediately looked back at me.

He smiled, but put his lips around the straw of his bottle a moment later.

Max stepped away to greet someone else, which made Lando step closer to me.

"Hi Red" he smiled.

"Hi Lando" I smiled back. "Heard you were a little nervous?"

"I always am when it's race day" he shrugged, smiled nervously as he looked around.

As if he was looking for someone or something.

I put my hand on his arm, which made him look back at me. "You'll do great Lando, just give it your all like you always do"

And maybe we looked at each other a little too long, a little too intense. Maybe we forgot we were standing in a full hospitality.

Because I swear I noticed how he was leaning closer.

"Let's go" his trainer patted his back. "Right" Lando cleared his throat, smiled and followed him outside.

Max walked after them, but stopped and looked back at me with a frown. "You gonna keep standing there of are you gonna support him?"

"Um, yeah sure" I said, walking next to him and behind Lando.

And right when we walked out of the hospitality, Alix did as well.

She was walking next to James, with Vanna and Ryle behind them, but instead of looking at her boyfriend, she was looking at Lando.

Who looked back at her.

Alexa, play Bad Blood.

She smirked at him, grabbed her boyfriend's hand and kissed his cheek, all while looking at Lando.

And Lando's jaw tensed.

I bet he needed so many apples right now. I kinda figured he ate them whenever he felt sad, or nervous.

But then again, he only seemed to eat them around me.

——————————

The race went really well, Lando kept his lead but Alix was driving so aggressive.

She undercut Lando, which worked because she drove a few laps in front of him.

But he was way faster, he wanted to overtake her, but instead she defended so aggressively, that they touched.

He had damage and she didn't, but he still won the race, while she ended in P2.

I couldn't be happier. He deserved it so much.

But our smiles quickly disappeared from our faces when we heard both of them had to go to the stewards office.

We postponed the interviews, except for the press conference.

"Anyways" I said as we were walking to the stewards office. "I brought you this" I said as I held an apple in my hand.

I obviously couldn't go in with him, but it seemed as if he really liked those damn apples, so maybe it would calm him down.

He looked at the apple, and then at Alix who walked passed us.

"I don't need that now" he mumbled before walking after her inside of the stewards office.

I frowned, looked at the apple. I was so lost right now, I literally saw him eating these things all the time and now he didn't need them?

I shrugged, took a bite from it and walked back to the hospitality.

I had to admit that these were some damn good apples though. Mclaren only had red apples, but they were my favorite anyways.

And then Kai walked passed me, a little smirk on his face. "See you next weekend Scarlett"

"Hopefully not" I mumbled, walked passed him without giving him a second glance.

I threw the apple away and walked in the hospitality.

Waiting for Lando.
