Alix's POVI breathed out as I closed my eyes. Did it a few times, before opening my eyes again and looked right into Kai's eyes who frowned as he looked at me.
"You okay?" He asked. "Do you think Lando betrayed me?" I asked instead of answering his question.
He looked around, not to check if someone was around but because he was thinking about it.
"No, I don't think he did" he said, looking back at me.
"Then why did he say he did?" I asked, but not specifically to him, I was more asking myself.
"I don't know Alix, but if you want him back, then you should dump James" he said. "Again"
"I don't want him back" I said a bit too fast.
"Sure" he chuckled before walking out of the hospitality.
"What? I don't wan-" I walked after him but stopped as soon as I saw Lando walking through the paddock.
He was laughing about something Scarlett said. Did he ever laugh with me like that?
It seems like yesterday since we were walking around like that, but I bet we never looked that happy around each other.
I bet they kissed that night when he picked her up.
I don't think I will forget the moment I saw him walk in. My heart skipped several beats, my palms got sweaty.
I wished he looked at me, I wished he was there to tell me how much he missed me.
And I would've told him that I missed him too.We would've ran off together.
But he wasn't there for me, he was there for 'Red'.
Honestly, it wasn't fair to hate her. Maybe she wasn't hanging out with him for fame or money. Definitely didn't seem like it when I looked at them right now.
But the big green jealous monster woke up inside me whenever I saw them together.
So it was easier to hate on her, because I couldn't hate him.
But I missed him, seeing him there definitely made me realize that, so I called him. Maybe after drinking too many wines that evening.
Unsurprisingly, he didn't pick up. I expected that since he was with Scarlett.
But he did call me back. Left me a voicemail that I kept replaying.
Many times a day.
He told me to find him.
Which wasn't that hard, but it was a bigger challenge to find him alone.
"It's media pen time!" Carley said enthusiastically, bringing me back to earth. "Oh yay!" I said way less enthusiastically.
The only thing that actually made me a little excited about it was that I would see Lando, even if he stood next to Scarlett the entire time.
He was already standing in front of a journalist, answering his questions, but his eyes found mine when I entered.
He stopped answering, looked in my eyes. He didn't smile, didn't roll his eyes. He was just staring.
And honestly, so was I.
I guess the journalist asked him another question because he turned his head back to him, putting his lips on the straw of his bottle.
I had to talk to him before he would fall for someone else - if it wasn't too late already.
Lando
