Mia approached Charlotte cautiously knowing just how badly Charlotte would be feeling

"Sweetheart you don't have to bite all of your pretty nails off its ok"

Mia took charlottes hand away from her mouth and held it trying to comfort her rubbing the back of her hand with her thumb,

"I'm not mad at you"

Charlotte didn't know what to expect but she certainly didn't expect this

"How can you not be mad, you've just lost your job because of me"

Mia was trying to be as reassuring as she could

"Because you finally grew a backbone, truthfully I'm happy to have been the one you did it for"

Charlotte was really confused now

"I don't understand you, you're so nice to me but I overheard what they just said in the office, you took money from their dad to torment them"

Charlotte was really confused over how Mia could be mean to others but so nice to her at the same time, Mia took a moment to breath

"I did but only because I thought I was getting something in return"

Charlotte was even more confused

"What could you possibly have wanted to warrant putting them through that"

More information was coming out that Reece and autumn never knew now about Roger

"Roger promised me that if I did what he told me to and came between them, he would tell me where my dad was"

"Your dad"

"Mmm hmm, he walked out on me and my mum when I was a child"

Charlotte began to see the hurt in Mia's eyes

"I don't understand why would Reece and autumns dad know where your dad was"

"Because my dad ran off with their mum"

Charlotte was shocked and taken aback

"I always assumed she was"

Mia cut Charlotte off "dead to Reece and autumn she may as well be they've never forgiven her for what she did but she's alive and kicking out there right now swanning around with my father"

This was becoming more confusing for charlotte

"Wait so all this time you've just been doing what Reece and autumns dads been telling you to do because he promised you information about your dad"

"That's right"

"But you've been doing this for 20 years why why have you carried on for so long"

"Is there a time limit on how long you'd spend looking for a parent particularly if you had a couple of questions for them about why they were so comfortable walking out and breaking up a family well two families actually because we both know that autumn and Reece didn't exactly grow up in a happy household"

Charlotte was trying to piece it all together

"Like wait what about I I heard you kept breaking up with Reece and getting back with him to try and come between him and autumn all the time"

"Yeah quite a few times I'd break up with Reece and try and find my dad on my own but then when I hit a brick wall I'd come crawling back to Roger beg him for the details and he'd say he'd only do it if I got back with Reece and got him on a short leash again"

Realisation hit Charlotte

"So you were like Roger's"

Mia interjected "puppet yeah that's why he was always getting me out of trouble so he could keep me close by so I could keep an eye on Reece and autumn for him"
