----------

My alarm rang loudly in my ear and as much as I tried to tune it out and keep sleeping I knew that I had to wake up. Today was my first day at my new job. I had been job hunting since I graduated which had been about 6 months now and I finally got a position at a well known Art museum as an art handler. The best part about the job was that I was also able to put some of my work up in the museum while also handling other artists.

I was really excited for the job because I would be doing what I loved everyday. As I got ready I thought about the company that runs the musuem. I had heard a lot of good things about them. They were still a fairly new company but their strong suit that I found interesting was that they only accepted new and upcoming artists.

I read on their website that this was because they wanted to make sure that everyone got a chance at showing their talent. This is what made me want to work here. When I finished getting ready I passed by Venus' room to see that it was empty. She must have left for work already. Venus also recently got a job at a game design office and I was happy for her because she spent many years trying to achieve her dream of becoming a game designer. Her and Zion were still going strong and about a year ago I admitted defeat to him telling him that he won, he had officially stolen her from me.

To which he does not let go to this day and reminds everyday that I lost because of "My inability to 'please' her. I rolled my eyes at the thought of it but I was really happy for them. I checked to make sure that everything was turned off before locking up. I got in my car and put the address in for The View art museum. It was a 25 minute drive from the house which I was grateful for since I didn't have to worry about getting up really early to get ready. When I arrived I pulled into the employee parking and showed the security guard my badge. I parked my car in an empty spot and hopped out. I was a little nervous because I was not really sure what to expect. I didn't want to mess up my first day or make a bad impression.

I knew that I wouldn't be doing much today, mostly filling out paperwork and going over what my duties will be. I go inside and go to the front desk and tell the lady there that today was my first day. I looked down at her name tag and saw that her name was Emily. She gave me directions and told me that the CEO was waiting for me in his office. I thanked her and headed to the elevator and headed up to the 20th floor where his office resided. I hadn't seen much of the CEO and I knew very little about him. I knew that he owned 5 more museums around the country but this one here was the main one, and also that he was the one that hired me.

This would be my first time seeing him. I wasn't really sure what to expect. I had envisioned him as this older man with salt and pepper hair that wore crisp suits that were not big enough to hide his gut. The sound of the elevator ding took me out of my thoughts and I stepped out. Straight in front of me were two double doors and to the right was a reception desk that had a beautiful brunette sitting behind it. She looked up as I walked over and gave me a smile.

"Hello, what can I do for you?" I smiled back at her.

"Hi I am the new hire for the Art handler position. Nyra Moore. Emily downstairs at the front desk told me to come up to this floor because the CEO wanted to speak with me." She looked at me and nodded.

"Yes we have been expecting you, have a seat and I will let him know that you are here." I sat down in one of the plush couches that was in the little waiting area to the left and waited until she told me to head inside. A few minutes later I heard her speak.

"Mr. Jackson, the new Art handler has arrived. Mhm okay, will do. Ms. Moore?" I heard her call my name and I stood up and headed back over to the desk.

"Yes."
