'Sabine's Pov'

Saint looked like he wanted to disagree but Monte spoke before he got the chance to, "We agree, and I'm sorry for how we treated you before, it is our protocol but we should have treated you with more respect." Monte said, I felt a smile paint my lips. "Okay, my first question is, what are you? What am I? Where and what is Sulden?" I questioned, Saint moved so he was standing in front of me, but I noticed that he was glaring at Monte. " We don't know exactly what you are, but I think you are some sort of elemental. We are fae, a myth to humans, make-believe, something they think is fiction. There are many kinds of fae and many races, an elemental can connect with earth, air, fire, and water. Where you were held was one of many places the humans were trying to hide from our scouts. Our mission here is to infiltrate and gather evidence against them, we have a deal with the humans. They don't mess with us and we don't mess with them, but we have scouts who look for lost or hurt fae, they noticed more and more fae getting taken and then lost to these facilities." Saint's expression became darker, angry. "And Sulden is another planet, one far from this one. It is the home to all fae and what the humans call supernatural powers come from there. The worlds are connected through a rip, a doorway created by a god." After he stopped, I looked to ensure he was finished and started laughing.

I can't help it because what the actual fuck, it's not like I am one of those people that never believed in aliens, but the fact that I am one. "Sorry, It's a lot to process." Monte moves so he's standing closer to me. I can smell him from this distance, he smelled like wood, and some sort of spice. "If you can hear the dragon, you have royal blood in you. The royal family of the blaze kingdom have connected and fused with dragons for ages." I look at Saint once again as he speaks, he was so handsome but such a dick, one who doesn't know how to read a room. "So what now? If you think I'm helping you get back into that place you're crazy." I said, they might be able to connect me with my lost family, but they can't make me go back to the place. The dragon roars behind me making me jump. 'Your anger and fear are strong children, if these men are scaring you or trying to hurt you I will eat them.' He said, I smiled and shook my head. 'Don't worry It's not them.' I said, Saint frowns looking between us. "I will not ask you to go back there, but I do ask you don't fight us on the way to the rip, it's a long journey and because we have to hide the dragon it will take longer to get there." He said, I nodded and looked at the dragon again. 'Did you get what he said? We're gonna get you home.' I said through the bond that connects us. I could see it, colorful and strong, it was like static though kind of fuzzy to the eyes. 'I heard what he said, and I would like you to inform him that my name is Azel, no more dragon this and that, I have to go to my home and collect some things and then I will be ready.' He said standing tall and puffing his chest. "His name is Azel and he says he needs to go to his home and get his things and then he'll be with us," I said.

"Tell him he has until sunset to meet us back here or we're leaving him," Saint said, I frown and before I can say anything to Azel he takes off into the sky. 'I heard him child, if anything goes wrong scream through our bond and I will be back in an instant.' His voice filters through my head. "Come inside I'm sure you're hungry and the only guy in our camp who can cook fixed dinner," Monte said, holding his hand out for me to take, I looked at his hand for a moment and then looked back into his eyes. A sense of calm washed through me, his eyes held the promise of safety and warmth. When I put my hands in his, the warmth in his hands feels hotter than normal. As he leads me through the group of men, all of them watching, I find myself shy. These men looked like warriors, all of them wore this black armor, all built large, their arms the size of my leg. Monte brings me inside and turns to me with a shy smile. "We have some clothes for you in the bathroom and while you're in there I'll heat your food and get a spot set up for you."He said, I smiled and nodded. He points me to the bathroom and once I'm inside I splash my face with warm water.

My curls were wild and sticking up all over, I looked toward the small stress pimple that seemed to be growing bigger. Of course, when I need to look normal something pops up. I stripped from the gown and put on the baggy jeans that fit over my thighs but sat loosely on my waist and then put on the oversized shirt. I stand in front of the mirror and look at myself for a second. This outfit is terrible, I look around and find some super tiny scissors. Taking them into my hands I know exactly what to do, I cut my shirt so it reaches just before my stomach is showing, and cut a slit in the back. I tie the back and then use the extra fabric like it was a belt. Looking at myself again I smile and then nod. I did a pretty good job, I pat myself on the back and turn out the lights as I leave. "Shit," I heard from behind me. "Wow, oh I have your food right here. I wasn't sure if you wanted something to drink or not, but I got it just in case." Monte said, he was talking so fast I almost couldn't hear what he said.

I smile and sit in the spot he had laid out for me on the floor, my plate had some sort of steak with potatoes and green beans. "It's deer meat," He said. I start to eat and realize how hungry I am, in minutes I am finished with my meal. I feel my stomach start to cramp from being stretched over my belly. "You finished?" One of the men said he was tall and buff, his black hair was pulled back into a bun, and his skin was extremely pale almost blue. He had gills on the side of his neck and his teeth were so sharp I was surprised to see he hadn't bit himself. When I nod he smiles at me, looking me in my eyes. "If I can do anything else for you please let me know." Monte slid beside me and glared at the man. "Goodbye." He said.

I try to hide my smile, No one has ever acted this way with me. Any man that I've met has made me feel uncomfortable, one way or the next. He looked back at me and smiled, his teeth were sharp, and I noticed that everyone has sharp teeth. I slide my tongue over my teeth and feel how flat and straight they are. "Why do I look different than everyone else?" I questioned. "I believe they were trying to alter your DNA and in doing so they changed your chemical makeup." He said, I knew they were doing something to me but knowing I probably am going to be treated differently by these people just like everyone else. "Tell me more about Sulden. Does it look like Earth?" I ask, He smiles and settles in next to me. "Sulden is much like Earth but drastically different at the same time. Our planet is better kept than Earth, we are all born from Sulden, Earth is dying and it's because all of the beings living here are killing it. Our buildings are built from the soil and as we care and provide for our planet, it takes care of us as well." As he talks I can feel his love for his home in his words.

"Our planet has four kingdoms all of which are represented in the world council, the Blaze, Waylen, Aquin, and Zenos kingdoms are all in different parts of our world. We are going to the Blaze kingdom, my home, and home to the council's army. The Blaze kingdoms are much more modern than the other but still beautiful all the same." I feel him scooting so he's closer to me. His body heat hit me in waves, I have always been cold, no matter where I am I feel the cold deep in my bones, and his heat is a welcoming change. "Our queen Asha is extremely fair and her mates are always the voice of reason if she isn't able to make a decision or needs help. When we get there you will have to get your blood tested and she will be the one to show you to your family." I tilt my head in confusion. "Mates? And why do I have to get my blood tested?" He chuckles, "Well you have to get your blood tested so we can figure out your biology and who your family is. Mating is a sacred union between individuals who are unconditionally loyal to you. Your mate or mate is connected to you, linked to your mind, power, and life. There aren't many mated pairs since mating is permanent, you will always be connected, and many people don't want that. Fae are a passionate bunch who live thousands of years, many of them don't want to be tied down forever," he said.
