'Sabine's Pov'
I watched as the two creatures attacked and effectively took out the trained soldiers, our people had moved to support them from the side. "I don't know about you guys but I could use a nice hot shower," Monte said, I looked to where his voice came from and saw that he had a few scrapes and bruises but was alive, and he was here. I keep myself from crying out in relief, grabbing him close I squeeze him to make sure he is real. "Commander, good to see you." Saint gives him a bro hug and a small smile. 'Just what powers do you have child?' Azel said, turning I saw him lying on the forest floor. 'Are you okay?' I question, 'I need rest and then I'll be okay.' He reassured me, that the Fenrir was lying up against a tree, its emotions were a mix of things but the main one was sadness. "How did you do it?" One of the soldiers said, I looked to Monte to see his answer but I realized he was talking to me. "What do you mean?" I said, "How did you connect with the Fenrir? They close themselves off from everything except their pact, it's impossible to connect with one." He gives Saint a look, "Look I don't know, I didn't intend to do it, I felt my mind connect to its mind. It's sad and hurting, they did something to it." I explained I had a feeling Saint already had ideas of what he could blame on me. "We can't jump to any conclusions, she was tested on we don't know what they did to her DNA," Monte said, Saint nodded and turned to his men.
"After he is good enough to move, we are leaving and taking a different route, follow close behind me and make sure we are close on all sides," Saint yells. I look to where the Fenrir lay against the tree and turn to check on it. Monte is quick to follow me, "You need to be careful Fenrir is aggressive with anything and anyone not in its pack." He said, I nodded but said nothing. I had a feeling it wasn't going to hurt me, as I approach it looks barely looks my way. I sit down a few steps away, "I know what it's like to be in one of those places. We are going to a world where they can't get you anymore. Do you want to come? I promise as long as you don't try to eat anyone, I'll try to protect you." I said softly.
It made a grumbling sound before turning its large head to look at me, 'Tiny' It projected to me, its voice was masculine but childish. I laughed after a second to understand its meaning. 'I am tiny but I pack a mean punch.' I projected back, Monte was still standing behind me but I felt him move closer. 'Family,' It projected. Suddenly an image is pushed into my mind, I was watching them die, all of them, his pack. They were fighting against a large group of humans, an ambush that had killed everyone that he loved. He was taken five months after he and his siblings were born, his mother was the pack Luna, and his father was killed by the humans before he was born. He was used for experiments and put in a ring to fight against different creatures, he had been with them for only four months and they could control him. He was young not even two years old.
When my vision cleared I stood up and walked over to him, he looked me in my eyes and I could see the pain in his eyes. I cuddle into his neck, his head bigger than my body. He is emotions hit me almost instantly, he was overwhelmed by his loss and his sadness. He let out a long loud howl, sorrow filled, it sounded like a song. After a few minutes, he puts his large head down and wraps himself around me. I felt our connection grow stronger as if he was pulling me in mentally. "I don't mean to be rude but we need to move and I think Azel is ready," Monte said after a few minutes, 'Would you like to come with us?' I ask he sends me feelings of agreement. We are all up and moving in minutes. I feel myself shiver slightly with happiness as I ride on Monte's back once again, the connection I feel to him is becoming stronger as well. I don't know how to describe it but I hope he isn't as fucked up as all the other men I've known.
Hours pass before we stop again, this time we are stopped at a cabin in the middle of a clearing. It was like something out of a fairytale movie or a book, the roof was made out of wood and had moss growing from it, and the walls and windows had vines wrapping around it. On the porch stood a tall beautiful woman with fiery red hair, dressed in some sort of fabric that wrapped tightly around her body. "Ah, I was wondering if you'd be by before I made my journey to the rift." She said, as Monte was setting me down she hugged Saint in a way that made my skin crawl. "We are here on orders of the council and we had to take a different route but I was hoping you'd put us up for the night?" Saint said, his voice was soft, much softer than he'd spoken to me.
"Only If I can tag along when you all leave." She said, her voice soft and light. 'Jealousy is not a good look on you girl.' Azel said, I looked at him and stuck out my tongue. "What does it feel like?" I heard someone whisper next to me, and when I looked over I saw it was the man from before. "What do you mean?" I said, he smiled at me and motioned towards where Azel and the Fenrir sat side by side. "Being connected to such creatures is only told of in stories." He said I think for a moment to find the right words. "It's comforting, I can feel all of what they feel and they can communicate with me like I do them," I said with a smile. Monte looks back at us and glares at the man, making him take two large steps away from me. I feel a little amused while I watch the scene, Monte always seemed to be protecting me. "We can see If Marah has anything you can change into." He said I felt my smile widen when he held his hand out for me to take. We all pile into her tiny cottage after Saint agrees to join us on our journey. I suddenly feel a pull on my heart, I stop and turn instantly knowing where it's coming from. Monte follows me outside and we walk together to where the Fenrir sits under a tree with the biggest cutest puppy eyes. 'I am not leaving you we are resting here for the night, and I can ask Azel to watch out for you if you'd like.' I explain sending as much reassurance as I can. He gives me a sad nod but then gets up and moves to lie next to Azel. 'What is this girl? I am no babysitter.' He said, but he doesn't have any bad feelings about watching the pup. "Thank you Azel," I said not hiding the laugh in my voice.
Monte stood behind me the entire time staying as close to me as he could without touching me. When I turn back towards the cottage I make sure to take his hand, he leads the way back inside. "You can take the bedroom down the hall," Saint said. I nod, but before we have a chance to make it to the room Marah is walking up to me with an arm full of fabrics. "I didn't know what you'd prefer so I grabbed something easy to put on." She said, her tone was sweet but her smile did not match. I thank her, taking the fabrics and following Saint to my temporary room. The cottage was much bigger on the inside than it seemed. "We are preparing dinner now, I'll have one of the men let you know when it is ready," Saint said turning and leaving, Monte stood at the door with a naughty smile. "Those are Aquin fabrics, they are a little complicated, I can help if you'd like." He said, I smirk slightly. "Okay," I said, his eyebrows shoot up in surprise. I lift my shirt as he shuts the door, I have never worn a bra before they didn't give them to us at the facility, they said we could use them to harm ourselves but I knew it was for their benefit.
He stood at the door biting his lip, he wasn't looking at me like I was a piece of meat though, he looked at me like I was precious. After taking off my beat-up socks and shoes I slipped the pants down revealing my plain white cotton panties, I held the fabric out to him with a seductive smile. I had never felt sexy before but with the way he was looking at me, I couldn't help it. He gets down on his knees and wraps the fabric around my waist, he's respectful with his light touches but I find myself wishing he'd slide his hands higher up my thighs. He wrapped it in a way that made the fabric sit on my breast covering my now hard nipples, his hand grazed under my breast making me arch into him slightly. After he finishes wrapping the fabric in a bow around my neck he looks up at me taking my hands in his and kissing them.
"You are the most gorgeous woman I've seen in my life, when the time comes I am going to beg to worship at your feet. My home, the place we are bringing you to, can be chaotic and harsh at times and peaceful and calm at others. There will be many who want to fight for your hand, your attention, and your love, but as long as you'll let me I will be at your side and with you through it all." He said keeping his eyes locked on mine. He kisses my hand again but doesn't give me a chance to respond when he stands and pulls me over to the door.
