'Oliver's Pov'

I groaned as the beautiful siren sucked me with all her might, she was trying hard I could tell but she wasn't doing anything for me. I sigh as I gently lift her head and kiss her lips softly. "It seems I'm in a mood, why don't you go and get yourself something to eat and rest," I said, she frowned but knew better than to go against me and left. I slide into my robes with the help of one of the many maids waiting for my command around my room. Taking a cup of wine from another maid I walk onto my large balcony looking out at the fields surrounding my palace. I knew soon I'd have to go back to my kingdom, my father's plans of making me his heir was ironic but I knew that if any of my siblings were the heir they'd ruin our kingdom. The weight of a crown is more than I ever wanted, I hated being a prince so I could only imagine what being king would feel like. I go to take a drink of my wine but stop before the cup reaches my lips, there is a dragon flying over my fields. A fenrir came running out of the woods with two people on its back, I watched as my guards went on alert and turned to stand defense.

No one comes to my property normally, most don't know the location, and the ones that do know better than to bother me. I groan in annoyance before walking down to where they are being held by my guard. It takes me a few minutes to get there due to the size of my home but once I'm there I'm greeted with the sight of Monte Monroe holding the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. "Your Highness," My guards say as I brush past them. "Monte Monroe! What brings you so far away from the council?" I said not taking my eyes off of the woman. She was curled into his arms, her curls looked bouncy and soft. "I need a favor," He said. I don't have many friends but if anyone deserved the title it would be him.

"And what would that be?" I questioned, "I need you to shield us from the council and from Saint Bine." My eyebrows shoot up at his words. "I haven't been on the council's radar in months and Saint Bine is a talented tracker, which you know," I said, the girl shifts in his arms, her face in his neck. "She is special and I won't let them near her without her permission, I'm asking for a favor, if you can't do it then tell me now." He said, I think for a moment before deciding. "Maeve I need you to get my guest a room ready and have the chef prepare some food for them. Make sure to get some food for their friends." I said to my stewardess. She disappears without a word. I motion for him to come in and lead him to my meditation room. My meditation room is where I am most focused. I take a deep breath smelling the magic in the room. "I will cloak her so when he does go to look for her, he'll be seeing my magic instead. As for you, I must disguise you as one of my guards." I explain, he nods and stands across from me.

Taking another deep breath I let my power seep into my muscles, as a siren I am able to cloak others, and change their appearance to others, not everyone but specific people. My song comes out low, it rumbles in my chest as I let it free into the room and cover the two. I felt her, her power, and her mind, they were both so powerful. I could sense some sort of element but there was more to it, the power itself felt limitless but her mind was cracked and yet somehow still strong. After my magic fully covered them I changed my tone, the pitch higher and stronger, a song of protection covering them from any siren on my property.

Once my song was done I took another deep breath before smiling when I saw how hard Monte was from my song. He hadn't changed from the last time we were around each other. "You're Highness, the room is complete," Maeve said before leaving out again. I smile and gesture for him to follow me and I lead them to their new room. I leave after a moment giving them some time to themselves, checking on the food I had prepared for them. "Maeve I need you to go and pick three maids with experience working as ladies' maids." I said, "Jamie, I want you to feed the two creatures outside, make sure whoever feeds them is careful. If they become volatile send for me and I will deal with it." Jamie nodded wordlessly before they both left to complete my tasks. I think back to the girl for a moment. She didn't seem to be nobility but her power was undeniable, Monte bringing her here meant she was not a lady of society, I couldn't wrap my head around it. She made me feel curious, her presence was intoxicating. I knew that when it came down to it Monte was honorable and fair.

Once the food was finished and Maeve brought me the maids, we made our way back up to their room. She was even more beautiful away. With the way Monte was sitting and how she leaned into him I knew they were at least courting, "Welcome, I am glad that you're awake and well." I said, "I brought food and wine, I hope I can make your stay here as comfortable as possible. I also brought the lady a maid, if she'd like one of course." I said pointing to the maids Maevee chose for her. Her eyes dart to Monte and I feel a strong need to make her feel comfortable. "I also took the liberty of getting your friends set up downstairs." My nerves getting the best of me making me talk. "I am Oliver Seda and you beautiful, must be Sabine Sinclair," I said and watched happily as her brown skin tinted pink slightly. "You are even more lovely awake." Her beauty was so striking I couldn't help but compliment her.

"Why don't we get her some food before we have full introductions," Monte said, I had the girls bring in a large tray of food, I watched as her eyes light up with wonder at the assortment of foods laid out in front of her. She sits for a moment looking confused about what to eat before Monte comes in to the rescue choosing a dish for her. His affection for her was an interesting thing to see. There weren't many mated couples who didn't choose to be together for politics, watching them was like watching a flower bloom, as much as it seemed he was in charge, he looked to her for answers and took cues from her.

After her first bite, she let herself enjoy the food, I could almost feel my chest puff with pride at having provided something for her." I am Sabine Sinclair, sorry if I was rude before." She said her voice was a sweet melody rivaling some of the most powerful sirens I know, it was light but assertive. "It is lovely to meet you," I said sitting down so I could study her closer, her power came off of her in waves drawing me in and threatening to bring me under. "Stop," Monte said after a few moments. "You're making her uncomfortable, if you have a question just ask." He said I cleared my throat before responding. "Well, you've only told me that you needed to get her away from the council, where did she come from? Who is she that the council is even looking for her? How is she radiating such power? And how did such a beautiful woman like yourself bond with a dragon and a fenrir?" I questioned, knowing Monte won't answer me but my curiosity didn't care. "I don't fully trust you. Tell me now if you can offer your help without the answers to your questions." Monte says curtly, I think for a moment before I come to my decision. "If the lady answers one simple question," I said, after nodding I threw my question out, trying to sound as confident as possible. "May I court you?"

She stopped eating completely and just stared at me, Monte said nothing and turned to her. I feel my smile widen as her skin slowly turns a dark pink. "You want to court me? You don't even know me," She said. I look at her in confusion, Courting is known as the trial period of mating, her lack of knowledge makes me look to Monte once more. "She is from the human world!" I shout, Monte stands in front of her with his arms crossed and a hard glare on his face. "That is something you or anyone in this room won't repeat again." He said, I rolled my eyes at him. "Obviously, How is her power so strong? What is she?" I said, Monte looked at her in the eyes as if silently communicating. "Can you help or not?" He said not taking his eyes off her. I frown as I look at her, she looks so tiny. "I would be putting everyone on my estate in danger anyone under my care would be in danger if I allowed you to stay here, we're too close to the capital," I said.
