Lovesick

i have a crush

 i do a funny slow turn with my head to look at her before i started to pester here "WHO?" i said louder then i thought. "someone from our school, but i ain't telling you!" she said, usually i wouldn't ask again after someone says that since they probably wont tell me for a reason which i respect but she is my BEST friend so i wanted to know. not really thinking about it i started to pester her repeatedly asking her who, she gave me clue's every now and then, i asked my friends since they knew but they gave me the same answers. 

i tried really hard to put the pieces together "her first name starts with M, her middle name starts with A, it's one of my friends, theres a playlist i've made with a hint to" the only person i could think of was me, my name is Maeve Ashlyn Brown and i'm her best friend ."IS IN ME?!" i say partially yelling, i didn't really think about it but since i was the first thing that came to mind i asked her. she seems to be a bit hesitant and continued not to tell me because i'd "freak out" but i continued to pester her anyways.

12:45pm, the only light on is her side lamp, i'm sitting with my legs crossed looking directly at her, my phone and computer pushed away from my bed. 

she finally agree's to tell me but before she does she makes me promise her 3 things. 

1. don't freak out

2. don't tell anyone 

3. we move on and continue being friends

 i was a bit skeptical at what she was saying but pinky promised her anyways. she takes a deep breath and grabs her headphones from her side table "after i tell you i'm going to put my headphones on and we are going to go to sleep ok?" i nod my head more paying attention to finding out who it is. she puts her headphones on and quietly says "it's you" and quickly turns off the light and rolls over in bed. i sit there for a few seconds processing what she just said, 'wait did she just say me? hah i was right! wait.......me?' i think to myself as i stay in the position shocked
