after doing the task of checking the time, i sit back up slightly to put my phone on her side table behind my head and lie back down. i can't go back to sleep as my thoughts continue to bother me so i try grab my phone once again but i can't find it. the darkness starting to annoy me i slowly move my hand around the table feeling out where my phone could be, trying my best not to wake her 'what would she say if she wakes up? is she going to ask me something about the crush? what do i do omg' i think as i prey that i'm not being to loud. i finally feel something familiar and grab it, my phone 'finally' i think to myself and look over at her bed next to me, she's not awake.
i go on my phone, i scroll through insta with nothing better to do, i remember the hints she was giving me about the crush. she said something about that playlist, i wanted to listen to it so badly 'i can't do that whilst she's next to me or even with me! she'll freak out or something' i shake the thought away and continue my scrolling journey. it reaches 6:30 and Callia wakes up and sees me on my phone, i quickly turn mine off since i think i'm being rude to be on my phone at people's houses. "good morning" i say to her, Callia still looks tired or half asleep its so dark i can't tell. i think we're the only people up but that doesn't seem to bother me, i'm about to say something but then remember the promise i made her 'move on and we stay friends'.
Stay. friends.
'i can't break a promise' i think to myself as i sit in bed a little awkwardly, "do you wanna watch something?" i whisper as i grab my computer to get up netflix. she seems not to really be paying attention but then moves back towards the wall on her bed a bit, i look up at her with a confused look 'did i say something wrong?' my thoughts interrupted as she laughs slightly "how did my headphones get here? i swear i put them on my side table heh". Callia picks up her headphones and puts them on her side table and grabs her phone, kinda like an exchange headphones for phone.
