CAMPUS OF CONTRASTS

First day jitters, excitement high,
Luna joins college, with dreams to the sky.
Rich campus unfolds, opulent sights,
Branded attire, perfumes, shining lights.

She looks down, at her simple wear,
No makeup, just soap, and untamed hair.
Homeless feelings, amidst luxury's stare,
Luna steels herself, "Studies, my only care."

Schedule in hand, she searches the hall,
Bumps into someone, books scatter, all.
No apology, just a smirk and disdain,
A jerk departs, leaving Luna in pain.

Collecting notes, she finds her seat,
Professor's gaze, her introduction to meet.
Indifference greets her, from her peers' side,
Luna shrugs, "Who cares? I'll survive."

Professor's instruction, to sit beside,
The same jerk, Caleb, her annoyance inside.
He protests, but professor stands firm,
Luna sits, amidst Caleb's discontent and stern.

Throughout the lecture, disturbance reigns,
Caleb's antics, Luna's patience strains.
First day, first lecture, already drained,
Luna seeks solace, in a part-time gain.

Grandma Anne's coffee shop, a haven found,
A kind heart, warm smile, and a job profound.
Affordable wages, a blessing true,
Luna thanked God, her burdens anew.

Dinner in the canteen, solitude sought,
Shirley's gaze, ignored, no longer caught.
Luna's focus, on her future bright,
No room for drama, or campus fight.
