The pain that came with the darkness was far worse than ever imaginable. Feeling the blood in your veins boil to nothing before solidifying just like the rest of your body, is surely not pleasurable. Honestly, it feels as if a cheese grater is being pressed deeply inside of my skin and dragged all across my most sensitive parts. The pain goes on for a brutely long time and I'm sure if I was conscious while feeling it, I'd be begging someone to just kill me already.

This pain must be the venom from that douche bag who attacked me. I know it'll all be worth it once I wake up, but this is brutal! When I get out of this darkness, Vladimir will pay for this!

As if pleased with my threat, the pain suddenly stops. My body feels healed, I feel stronger. Hell, I feel like a tank. I quickly take notice of the soft blankets beneath me, though no longer feel my own warmth reflecting off them. My cold skin grazes across the cotton swiftly, enjoying all the small details my fingers can pick up on now.

"Bambina?" I hear a soft honey-like voice from my right as a set of ever so soft fingers entangle with mine.

My eyes jolt open as I turn my head to the side to observe the man beside me. I quickly recognize him as one of my mates, my blonde and angry mate, Caius Volturi. His red eyes shine from the tears within, desperately trying to escape. His smile: a soft and loving gesture as he stares into my freshly reddened eyes.

With just a quick blur, I appear on his lap holding him in my arms tightly. My face remains buried in his neck as I inhale his scent deeply, a soft sigh escaping my lips as I realize it's the same as before.

"Caius" I whisper softly as his arms wrap around me and his lips place a gentle kiss on the side of my head.

My eyes unconsciously glide to view his face as I feel a mental click take place. With the click appears a dark green aura outlining his body as well as a golden halo above his head. I wonder what that means for him, what my ability is trying to show me. I suppose only time will tell.

"Principessa how are you feeling?" another voice to my left catches my attention.

Slowly, my head turns to look at the new person as my eyes meet those of Aro Volturi. My smile grows wider upon seeing him but slowly fades away as I notice the halo above his head, it's different from Caius'. His halo remains black, dark cracks formed in the strange material. A heavy feeling rests on my chest and shoulders, if I was still human I'm unsure if I'd be able to breathe. What could all of this mean?

"She needs to feed before we discuss anything Aro" the third voice speaks as I turn to my right and notice Marcus sitting just a few inches away now.

I quickly notice his halo also has a dark grey-black tone to it, though remains solid. My head starts to hurt and my body begins feeling drained as I subconsciously beg it to stop. After a few seconds with my eyes closed, I feel that same mental click again and hesitantly peel my eyes open. To my luck, all the colors and halos disappear. The heavy feeling that was once on my shoulders and chest, now gone as if it were never there to begin with.

A set of soft hands breaks me from my observations as I look up at Marcus, who now holds my face gently. My eyes desperately take in every little detail of his face, memorizing them all as if he'd disintegrate in front of me at any moment. His sweet scent flows through my senses as I relax instantly against his touch.

"Here you go mia cara, drink up" Aro says softly to our left, now holding out a bag filled with dark red liquid.

As soon as my mind registers what the liquid is, my throat begins to burn with need. Within seconds I grab the bag from his hand and bite into the end as the delicious substance fills my mouth and begins to satisfy my hunger. The feeling is gone all too fast as I finish off the bag and frown upon noticing the hunger still lingering within.
