Lucifer knocked on Alecto's door, then folded his arms behind him patiently as he waited for a response. There was a slight rustling noise before the teen opened the door, his eyebrows raised at the sight of the king. "Hi?"

Clearing his throat, the king pointed at the stairs. "Charlie's holding another family meeting. She sent me to get you."

Alec tilted his head, and his voice wavered with uncertainty. "You want me at the family meeting?"

Sensing his insecurities, Lucifer put on the warmest smile he could muster. "You are part of the family now." He noticed the boy's continuously adjusting his sleeves, and he saw the glimpses of some scratches under the loose clothing. "Uh, are you okay?"

"Yeah," Alecto said, a bit too fast. "Yeah, sorry, it was just Niffty again."

Lucifer nodded. He had never really liked the housemaid. Not since she took pictures of me in the shower for her wall collage of bad boys. He shuddered at the memory. "I'll see you downstairs," He told Alec before walking down the hall.

Deciding he wasn't patient enough to climb down the stairs, he teleported to the lobby, where Husk and Alastor were already sitting. The Radio Demon smiled widely at Lucifer. "Hello, Your Majesty."

Lucifer felt a jolt of anger at that. Ever since he had found out about Charlie's deal with Alastor, he had avoided the overlord purposely, feeling as though whatever mutual trust they had was gone now. True, they had worked together to organize Charlie's rescue, but as Lucifer saw it, they were now on very opposite sides. "Nice to see you showed up for the meeting," Lucifer said bitterly. "Satan knows, you have a habit of disappearing when important shit goes down."

Husker looked like he was holding back a laugh as Alastor clenched his jaw, but remained smiling. "Satan knows, you have a habit for disappearing for years while other people raise your daughter."

It was good that Charlie walked in right then, because Lucifer was ready to throw a punch. Stifling a growl, he sat down reluctantly as his daughter started pacing, waiting for the others. He watched Charlie a bit sadly. She seemed emptier since Vaggie had left, and he understood that feeling better than anyone.

Angel walked in, looking more cheerful than usual, and Lucifer couldn't help but notice that Husk's back straightened slightly as the spider entered. Cherri Bomb and Sir Pentious walked together, hand in hand, whispering jokes and giggling. Lucifer watched them for a moment, remembering when he and Lilith were as young and happy as those two.

As if he had summoned her by the thought of her, Lilith came down the stairs, graceful as always. Niffty scuttled after her, muttering about "bad girls" and "bisexuality."

Alecto slunk into the room, looking nervous and nonchalant at the same time. His curly hair fell into his eyes as he sat on the floor, hands in his pockets. Elena walked in soon after, almost silently, and sat next to him. Lucifer saw the teenager visibly relax. The same couldn't be said for Angel, who narrowed his eyes slightly at the therapist.

"What's up, homos, heteros, and ace-faces?" Adam sang as he entered the room. Lucifer made a mental note to google 'ace' later. Eve slipped in after Adam, smiling shyly. "Thank you for including us in the family meeting, Charlie."

Charlie beamed, and Lucifer realized that she hadn't looked at him since their argument earlier. Eventually, Vaggie had let them back in the hotel, and Charlie acted like nothing had happened. Lilith had kept her distance from both Charlie and Lucifer, and Lucifer had busied himself with calling the residents for Charlie's family meeting.

"Thanks for coming, guys." Charlie spoke up, jolting Lucifer out of his thoughts. She fidgeted with a bracelet nervously before continuing. "I think we can all agree there's been some...tension recently. But I know we can work this out if we just talk about it."
