CHAPTER NINE
━━━ 𖡺★☽⋆⋆❥ ✳︎✧ ━━━

THE NEXT MORNING was just a normal school day again. I really didn't have the motivation to listen or learn anything, but skipping lessons was not an option. A weird thing that happened to me this morning was that I woke up in my bed. I remembered falling asleep on the couch while writing in my notes app. I must have drifted off at some point and someone had carried me to my room. But who?

Olivia and Laura couldn't be it,
as they were both girls and wouldn't have the strength to carry me. Coach Baker couldn't be it either. So that left me with two possible suspects: Jordan or Spencer. Anyways, Spencer and I made our way through the school hallways together.

From the moment we left the Baker's house all the way to school, I had been glued to my phone, re-reading the notes I had written last night. Each word made me realize how important writing songs was to me and just how much I missed singing them.

It used to be my way of dealing with everything—putting my thoughts and emotions into lyrics and melodies. But somewhere along the way, I'd lost touch with that part of myself. Now, staring at the notes on my phone, I felt that old passion stirring again. Maybe it was time to pick up where I left off.

"Everything alright?" Spencer's voice broke through my thoughts, pulling me back to reality. "Yeah," I answered, pocketing my phone. "Just thinking...I haven't written or sung anything in a while, you know? I told him."You miss it, don't you? he questioned me.

"More than I realized," I admitted softly, causing him to chuckle. "Well, maybe you should get back to it. I mean music is always been your thing. It's your blessing harmony." Spencer said, his tone encouraging.

"Yeah, you're right. I guess I've just been...distracted lately and now I realize how much I've missed it."I nodded, a small smile forming on my lips."Hey, that's cool. I get it," he replied, giving me a gentle nudge. "But it ain't too late to get back to it. Who knows? Maybe you'll even write something new by the end of the week about me." He joked.

"Good." He glanced at me, his expres-sion serious for a moment. "You're happiest when you're doin' what you love. Don't let nothin' keep get in the way of that." His words hit deeper than I expected, and I nodded again, this time with more determination. "You're right. I'll get back to it. No more excuses," I said with a smile. "Now that's the Harmony I know." he said, grinning like he just won a game.

I chuckled at his comment. Spencer always had the right words to motivate me. "Thanks for the pep talk, Coach Spencer," I joked. "Anytime, Superstar," he said back unserious. "Just remember to give me some credits when you blow up," he added with a wink. "Psh, you wish," I laughed, playfully shoving him.
