I'm not quite sure how to describe that place, it was really... different. It almost felt like a tunnel, like those we see in sci-fi movies when characters are traveling in time machines. It gave me the impression that we were in the center of a cylinder where I couldn't see either the beginning or the end, only the purple and blue walls surrounding us, with occasional exits that would appear and disappear as we passed.

"Where... are we?" I asked the driver, still in shock, given the previous events—like being kidnapped by a man driving a taxi with the minor detail of being able to fly, and that same car, with that same driver, taking me to what seemed like a new dimension!

"We aren't in another dimension yet," the driver chuckled as if he had read my mind. "We're in the Vortex. This is where all dimensions and universes converge."

Ah! My deepest apologies, then. We aren't in another dimension; we're *on our way* to another dimension. I must admit, not only was that the clearest explanation I've ever heard, but also the one that raised the fewest questions in my entire life.

"So... we're heading to another dimension," I concluded out loud.

"Exactly," said the driver with immense cheerfulness that starkly contrasted with his tone earlier.

I lost all strength at that moment. I couldn't feel anything, my body was completely numb. Another dimension? Was I really traveling to ANOTHER dimension? But why on Earth would I be traveling to ANOTHER DIMENSION?

"The Boss needs a little help," sighed the driver, as if he'd telepathically communicated with me again. "A small favor."

"Favor?" I heard an almost ironic note in my voice, though it could've been my state of sheer terror speaking for itself.

"Yes, a favor."

I can guarantee you that if it had been a normal day, I would have bombarded that gentleman with endless questions. But at that moment, I was trapped in an unbreakable trance, with only one question truly troubling my mind:

"When will I be able to return home?"

"Soon. If we're lucky, and everything goes well."
